Hello fam,

I am looking for a travel partner to Kitchener for the 1st week of August. We may not be able to split quarantine cost, but we can split Airbnb costs. Putting this out there, in case someone knows someone who is going to Kitchener, Ontario.

Many thanks!

Do you mean 2k naira or 2k dollars. Is it safe if I upload such bank statement?

SoFaithly:
I wonder where we are getting that notion that an applicant's own proof of funds is considered most authentic in processing Visa? Lie!
These guys don't even appreciate you been sponsor of your education, because even themselves know that schooling in their countries is damn expensive! especially when $ and naira are going at wide opposite direction.

By the special grace of God, I started my journey to the US, did just 2 semesters there, and ported to Canada last month finally, all with relatives sponsorship. All I did when I first started was to include my yeye salary account Stmt that barely hold up to N2k at the end of month, just to proof that I was working and earning.
Also, if you can, always endeavour to do upfront medicals, upload just the appointment letter on your application page or send via web form. It aids in their decision making.

And also, when bringing in dependants is a priority for you, apply and get your own visa and come in first, get a suitable apartment, secure your 20hrs job, run at least a semester, then put in their application.
It speaks volume this way!
God bless you all!

Hi guys, good day.

Quick Clarification:

I did my biometrics at VFs in Lagos in October 2020, but I got approved after my 2nd application. Do I have to pay the transmission fee when sending my passport to the Lagos Vfs?

Also, to those that sent to Abj and got their passport very fast, I can easily get DHL to send my passport from Lagos to Abuja right? Idea of the cost?

Thanks for the anticipated response.

If you sending from Lagos to Lagos and did biometrics in Lagos, no fee is required except dhl fee.

If you are sending from Lagos to Abuja , transmission fee of 7430 is required and about 14,000 or thereabout for dhl fee.

If you are not in a hurry , you can use Lagos vfs .
I heard Lagos takes up to 3 weeks of more to return passport while Abuja , the highest is 7 days .

The choice is yours .

To shock you, it is worst when you get here. Very incompetent set of people. They never have a solution to anything. All they know how to do is to collect tuition and impose late fees.

Wow. That really sad

Please be extra careful when dealing with those bureau de change guys irrespective of their location.

Watch out for fake/adulterated notes, mutilated ones and blank notes stacked in btw a bundle.

@Alchemist, you just shenck us since PPR drop, nothing do you sha, God still dey run PPR for this street. Best wishes to every hopefuls including myself.

@spectro, we weren't glad about the decision IRCC gave concerning your application, wish we could influence that. I personally, I'm rooting for you, you were helpful to many here, so I'm sure you'll def get it right sooner than expected

You can check MM2(Murtala Mohammed Airport) Ikeja Lagos. There are Burundi change offices opposite the Airport. Their exchange rate there is good.

You are right. But the bureau de change opposite MM2 do not do fraud. My hubby has been changing dollar to naira and naira to dollar in their office. Once you get there, Ask of Ali, he is a very nice and sincere man.

No NSE Request(I submitted regularly bank statement and IELTS results average of 7.5)

Timeline
Application submitted - 8th February
Biometrics done- 10th February
Upfront medicals completed - 5th March
Medicals updated to pass - 12th April
Eligibility review started - 4th May
BVL(I received 2 bvls minutes apart) - 28 May

Salary bank statement (6 months)
Investment certificate- agropartnership and mutual funds
Receipt of first semester tuition
Proof of ties: family company CAC documents(I am a director and shareholder) and pension fund statement
All IMM forms

Sponsor docs(my parents)
Parents international passport (my dad’s passport was expired but we submitted like that)
Sworn affidavit of sponsorship(only my mum did this)
Letter of sponsorship signed by both parents
6 months bank statement for my mum’s accounts
Fixed deposit certificate for the family company’s funds
Reference letter from the bank where company funds are domiciled

Last promotion letter from my mum’s place of work
Proof of rental income( receipts issued by property manager)

I submitted my application through an amazing consultant (not all “agents” are bad lol) before joining nairaland. I thought the application was airtight then I came on here. When I saw stories of career progression and 2.1 going for masters instead of pgc and matching your proposed study to your previous studies and work experience, I started losing hope and my study plan that I thought was perfectly written was looking like it didn’t make sense.

I ordered my GCMS notes on the 21st of May but it hasn’t arrived yet.

I almost lost hope but just kept pushing and having faith in God. I prayed and fasted and cried to God to answer my prayers.

When I saw people’s eligibility review starting after 4 months and still getting refused I wanted to lose faith again but I kept joining NLP (Next level prayers with Pst. Bolaji) every morning to renew my faith and pray fervently.

I’m so grateful for this platform. All the advices and testimonies kept me sane during my waiting period. I pray for everyone expecting this good news that the good news is here already and May Canada favour us all. I know waiting can be tiring but please don’t give up, God will hasten his word to perfect all that concerns everyone waiting.

While waiting please write down your testimony in faith. I wrote my first testimony draft on the 14th of March and I was just updating as things unfolded. God remembers your faith my people.

PS: no application is the same, my boyfriend and I applied around the same time and he got his in 2 months. Just keep praying and believing God and He will do it.

God bless you all!

IT ENDED IN PRAISE!
