Money Has Done More Harm To Football. Than Good by kenzysmith(op): 10:30am On Jun 15, 2021
Back in the days when I was in jsss 1, I don't know any thing called the big five league but I see every competitor in the uefa champions league as a potential winner, when Porto won the champions league against Monaco I wasn't surprise because I taught it was normal since the likes of Ajax did it 1994 and bruissa Dortmund 1997, but now I begin to see what Porto did in 2004 was extra ordinary, the likes of roman abrohamavic,PSG, man city,Madrid, Barcelona, manutd had spoilt this beautiful game we once cherish as fans how can a club pay 142 million for couthinio,105 million for pogba,220 million for neymar,106 million for dembele,100 million for griezema,50 million for stones and Mendy, 75 million for oshimen 80 million for Maguire, 120 million for jao Felix. has this players justify this outrageous fee place on their head? For Christ sake this is killing football, only Cristiano as justify this huge fee , Bruno has also just the 57 million . Nowadays players play for money rather than passion kaka once rejected a move to city to remain at Ac Milan, donaruma snub new contract to move to PSG , Gerald reject Chelsea on two occasions, totti rejected Madrid, Arden Wenger rejected Madrid 5 good times, now baloon do or is now major with the amont of goals u scored. Then the likes of henry and niesteroy who had scores goals during their time would feel cheated, ronaldiho won balloon for or with just 15 goals. In full season she likes of kante, Bruno, dbrunyne, son who had a brilliant season don't stand chance of winning due to the fact they didn't scored above 40 goals. For this past decay just 3 countries England, Spain and Germany as produced champions league winners due to the money pump in this leagues. PSG is killing ligue one, Barcelona and Madrid is killing laliga, juventus is killing serial A, English league is surviving because the money is rotational the edge mancity has is pep Gardiola .

Not so true brother,

Football had almost become a loser's game before the big moneybags came and reinvigorated the game.

Sports all over the world have an exciting tune to it when you look at the caliber of players in the game.

If you go to a famous art gallery, you paid for seat tickets and you are being shown to artworks from one Sarita Dominica, an unknown artist. I know the kind of feeling that will evoke; the feeling of disappointment and mistrust.

Now, imagine you are at another gallery where by you are treated to a sumptuous meal of the artworks of Michaelangelo, I am sure you will want to come back for more.

Football was already dwindling in followership because people were used to watching average games with average players. This was what brought the likes of Florentino Perez, Former AC Milan President (I can't remember his name atm) etc to bring star players into their league and spice things up a little.

Now, club presidents know the import of having to sell a star player so they generally jack up the price. Now this becomes interesting if the buying team still proceeds to buy the star player... It makes for a great story and something to watch out for.

Mere artworks are bought for hundreds of millions of dollars and they will be hung at the bathroom of the buyers....
