Angle of the sun. The rays hit at a different angle. Pictures taken in Bayelsa and in Katsina will be different for this same reason, though not as pronounced

Why is location important in photography?

A location is important for better photographs as it adds the charm to the photograph.

Suppose you choose to have your photo shoot in your friend's villa, the pictures may come out well and you may also look fabulous . ... If you do this, then the photo shoot will come out extremely well..

So you can't compare the abroad environment with even ikoyi Lagos...

So even with same camera...it's gonna like different

I figured it out. This is it.

1. Neat streets, and when I say neat streets, you hardly find dust on the floors/streets. And that because there is no harmattan there.

2. Even if there are little dust on the streets, snow washes them away therefore keeping the streets, buildings and coal tar shiny always.

3. You also hardly find pure water leathers or should I say debris on the streets.

4. Another thing is the buildings there are well structured, with a well thought out building plan.

5. Beside those building are well maintained flowers and carpet grasses. Africans hardly plant flowers and carpet grasses on their streets and that's because of the poor leadership we have.

So that it.

I hope I have answered your question.

Streets are clean because some people are recruited, trained and paid to clean it daily ... Not because there is no harmmatan.. In some places, streets are cleaned more than once in a day, there are no open gutters and there are well maintained dustbins to put in your thrash, power and telephone lines are all underground too So...

The bad building arrangements caused by inept policy makers in Nigeria and the inability of the civil service to do their job well, due to lack of good training, their failing to insist on good building codes, coupled with the open gutters and lack of street cleaners are the cause. You can find a thousand different kinds of paints in a neighborhood with a thousand buildings in Nigeria!

Aesthetics, city planning, exterior decorations should be allowed to be handled by professionals and there should be a very tough law backing this up.

Are you sure you read my comment well before replying me? Because if you did, their would be no need for this long story.

When I said harmattan I was talking about dust. Does the whites dust their streets? No.

I'm not a kid to know that people are paid to clean the streets. People should understand well please before displaying their intelligence.

When I said no sachet water leathers, what did you actually think I meant. That the waist bins disappear?

No. I mean orderliness coupled with constant maintenance. Please take it easy. Read and understand first before you attack.

I stand to be corrected though but i think its as a result of dusts in the air around us, if you want to check take a picture just after it stopped raining then you ll see what im talking about.

You mentioned harmattan and obviously you were referring to their weather and lack of dust therein. But I had to remind you that even if they had harmmatan, the policies they put in place and vigorously maintain will take care of that, unlike in Nigeria! The point? Nigerian streets are not dusty and garbage ridden because of these issues but because of bad policy formulation and implementations on related topics! There will always be harmattan, so policies have to be prepared to take care of these...

Why do I say so? Take for example a place like Beijing! The desert from Northern China so troubles that city that in certain times of the year, drivers can't see far in front of them and the city becomes the most polluted in the whole world. So polluted the government has to step in with regulations on cars to be driven on which day via registration! Yet as the winds are dumping down the yellow dusts, someone is there to sweep it away . That's where the rub is!

Someone has to be employed, trained, retrained and managed effectively and objectively on daily basis to achieve these goals of keeping the streets clean!
You don't have to just blame the weather! You can't control the weather, so you prepare for exigencies..
Don't know why you're taking it personal tho...

Use software and clear the un-fineness from the picture.

I think OP is indirectly saying, save and get a madt cameraphone.

Good advice, sir!

P.S: If every Nairalander decides to be aesthetically conscious, we can make a change as regards scenery.
