Man From Niger Republic Who Ran Away With N206b Nig Arms Money Declared Wanted by EFCC | #IgbereTV

ABOUBAKAR HIMA is from Niger Republic.

Buhari and his APC govt gave him contract to supply ARMS worth over N200bn and he ran away with the entire cash!

1. $394m = about N200bn

2. €9.9m = N6bn plus

3. N369m

TOTAL = N206.4bn

Reacting to the Development, a journalist and social commentator, Peter Agba Kalu said: "What a country! Buhari has out sourced Nigeria to his relatives at Niger Republic. How can you give supply of Nigerian security equipments to a Nigerien that has limited English proficiency?"
I just saw two threads about this article on Frontpage. Comments on the initial thread were blaming Buhari. Little did they know it didn't happened in its regime. Comments on the second thread were saying Buhari's government were playing blame games. Lol.
We as a people are doing no good. Our present generation with all due respects, has failed the nation. We can't see. We keep being tribalistic. I know we should be critical of the government, but acting as a dummy and blaming the government for the "air you breathe" is plain stupidity. We as the country's youth should understand that we have no place after Nigeria. I don't know know if people understand that secession is an unreal request. Its not an option. Everyone is a Nigerian. If any tribe wanna overcome you, show him that you are more Nigerian than him. Nigeria belongs to everybody but nobody.

The daft aspect to this is some people actually believe it was Buhari who gave the money to this guy, like really? where is the proof that Buhari met or know this person? Presidents have staff and cabinet members for a reason, among hosts of others. everything that goes wrong, it's Buhari. Oga your disdain and bias for the man is apparent.
So Buhari gave money to this man to steal, then sent EFCC after him? now how does that make sense

Who told you we have no other country except Nigeria? Who made you the spokeperson for every Nigerian? Please, on this issue, always speak for yourself alone.

Kingdoms were existing in Southern and Northern Nigeria before the Europeans arrived. I believe there should be a seccesion clause in our Constitution, any part or geopolitical region that wants to leave, should do so through laid down rules.

Patriotism can't be force on people and One Nigeria shouldn't be force on people.

I am for restructuring of Nigeria, and anybody that is not interested in restructuring and want to leave should be giving the freedom to do so through referendum.

Look at the Nigeria of 1999 to Nigeria of 2021, everything just dey worst dey go. Is still same no light, no good roads, terrible minimum wage, insecurity etc.

How can the constitution says we are a secular state, yet I won't be allowed to drink big stout in peace in zamfara, what type of hypocrisy is that? A lot of things needs to be iron out before we can continue to keep working as one Nigeria.

Yes!

Even though EFCC never catch the man, I expect a lot of people to be answering questions by now. But NO, EFCC is more concerned with Yahoo boys grin abi nah only when then catch this man dem go fit prosecute people who gave the contract to his company even though the man and the company his running is not competent for such a thing.

Is just a way to steal money by politicians sha. Dem go award contract to an incompetent company owned by their family and friends.

I remember when fashola first sign the contract for a road in ikorodu, the contractor he gave the job to where not involve in construction at all and fashola gave millions of naira to this company o. After more than millions of naira have been spent on the road without any tangible result to show for this millions of Naira, he reawarded the project to Arab Contractors.

I'm not sure, but he gave the work to a company involve in plumbing work. The company is owned by an APC man called babatope or so.

The name of the road is Obafemi Awolowo road, is in ikorodu, the EFCC can prosecute and make sure fashola and his cronies land in jail because of that single project, but no be them.

Nigeria is so messed up.

Look i know we have a lot of problems. I am a Nationalist. I am not Pro-government. Nigeria was meant to happen, with or without British intervention. We were already trading with each other. Some tribes trying to dominate the other. Infact, if not for the British intervention, the Fulanis would had overtaken the entire southern region. The British colonisation of Nigeria was the best way to get united. If i may ask, why do you want to secede? You are tired of the nation? There is hunger? People are being killed daily? You feel ashamed to be a Nigerian?. Brother, i feel the same. We all feel the same. But some people won't admit this because they are benefitting from our turmoil. Was Nigeria like this 15 years ago? As of 2008 we had a Fulani President. Was it like this? So you want to secede because of the present administration?. You should understand that no one can chase you from your country. Buhar is not more Nigerian than you. Bandits are not more Nigerian than you. The elites are united. They don't give a hoot. But we as youths keep spilling our blood for hijacked aims. I hope you understand, brother

What kind of provocative statement is this? Do you have evidence to back this up? Without the British, there would have been no Nigeria. There was hardly any trade going on between most tribes in the south and tribes from the North before the arrival of the British.

The only city the fulanis conquered in Yoruba land was Ilorin and it was caused by Afonja betrayal. Ibadan soldiers defeated the fulanis when they tried to spread into Yoruba land. The Fulanis only conquered the Hausas and some other minority tribes in the North.

Insurgents suspected to be members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) overran a military formation in the southern part of Borno State on Tuesday and cart away weapons after a fierce gun battle with the troops.

It was learnt that the fighters rode on about 10 utility vehicles to storm the military formation at Kwamdi village, Damboa local government area, on Tuesday evening.

They were said to have burnt down one Ammour Personal Carrier(APC) and a gun truck.

According to a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), Hamidu Abu, the deadly group targeted soldiers camp but not residents.

He further disclosed that the base was razed down as arms and ammunition were stolen by the invaders.

“They came at about 4 p.m. and due to the sand storms it was difficult for soldiers to repel them. They burnt down the base including APC and four other vehicles.

“I can’t ascertain if there was any causality figure,” Abu said.

A security source confirmed that the base came under attack from gunmen believed to be ISWAP fighters at about 4 pm and it lasted for about an hour and 30 minutes.

The source added that fighters seized the opportunity of the sand storm to penetrate the base.

“Our base at Kwamdi came under attack but we didn’t lose any of our personnel to the attackers, unfortunately the base suffered some damages,” the security source told Daily Trust.

There has not been any official reaction from the Nigerian military.

I am a student of History. I won't say what i don't know. Firstly, there are good funalis, there are bad funlanis just like in other tribes. Also, every tribehave different behaviours. Funalis and the Arabs have similar behaviors. But funalis are more like Berbers(i stand to be corrected).
When Dan fodio started the Jihad, offical goals were to convert the "pagan hausas" to true Muslims because the hausa Muslims associated Allah(swt) to gods and objects. It wasn't true, because to this date, the average Hausas are more Muslim than the fulani. Dan Fodio had political goals. He wanted to reach the sea. He wanted an empire like the Songhai empire. The Fulanis advance was halted at modern day kwara because the British arrived then. Thats how we had Emirates spread across the country

We can't. Its not about the plans. Sometimes when we talk about plans, about Military equipment purchases, i keep mute. Why? Because we have plans. People in power know the right thing. The problem has always been implementing those plans. Also, the people that head our institutions too. They maneuver our laws with ease. Love for country is nearly none existent

The British didn't get involve in the war between Yorubas and Fulanis.

There was no way the fulanis would have conquered all the tribes in the south, I'm sure even Usman dan fodio didn't know about the ijaws or ibibios.

The fulanis were not stopped in present day Kwara state(Kwara is a tapa word). Most of the war happened in present day Oyo and Osun.

Without the British, we would have had more than 10 countries emerging from Nigeria.

Is going to be so hard for Nigeria to divide because of the politicians and military.

The Soviet Union collapsed because the military was not loyal to the communist party. The Chinese have learnt from the Communist party mistake.

A little bit of reality check:

Only Illorin was taken over by the fulani and fulani were struggling to keep it when the british arrived.
Benin empire had faced a jihadi opponent and defeated those jihadis and even took over their land with their king reduced to paying tribute.

As I keep saying, you guys really don't know history and often believe your ethnocentric feelings to be history.

fulani are not the "great" warriors you guys seem to think they are.
The fulani are descended from slaves who served the arabs. The ultimate conquest of the fulani was the kingdom of kano. Kano is not equal to all the kingdoms which make up the nigerian land mass.

The yoruba nation wasn't even united during this period, the ekitis were independent, some part of present day Ondo state too were on their own. The old Oyo kingdom was fighting and colonizing in dahomey, present day Benin republic. Other tribes were at war with each other. The fulani invasion was halted at the battle of jalumi after attempt to capture Oshogbo, but there was definitely going to be another wave of attack from the north as is the style of the fulani invaders. The fulanis had the greater advantage and might have dominated. At some point, the Tapa people sacked the capital of the old Oyo empire.
The British colonization and amalgamation brought stability and development to the region. Either one ethnic group would have dominated others after several years of war or the war would have continued till date if the Europeans hadn't interfered.

Restructuring won't solve Nigerias problems, it will just bring about different versions of the same problems we currently have. We should try it though so that the people calling for it can be satisfied. The people want a political change and since it is democracy, the demands of the people has to accepted.

Historical records written by people who witnessed that period said clairly that the fulani were struggling to keep illorin, but ofcourse a person born more than 150 years later is free to imagine his own version of reality of things which he didn't witness and contradict actual eye-witnesses.

The third sentence is also one things which I and my people do not agree with, I guess you are yoruba or fulani (either way you seem to bow down to the british and fulani in that order). We (the Edo people) lost our country, a lot of our ancestors were killed by machine gun and cannon fire ! Our capital city was burnt to the ground and looted. We lost a war !
Being invaded by the british was a disaster for us not a welcomed event as it seems to be for you and your people.

If you are a yoruba then indeed you people are a very strange set of people.

Just when I was starting to think there frequency of attacks had reduced significantly. The last time they captured any base before this one was early may(kanama in yobe state I think).
But then, your location is very close to sambisa now, and since they've subdued JAS in sambisa, attacks should be expected around that axis.

1)It seems you are not aware that people who could write were constantly visiting our region. (why do i have to state the obvious ?: nigerian education is terrible)
2) Many of those people wrote notes down and drew maps and their notes and maps survived them.
3) Thoses notes can be found in specialized libraries in europe and america and in their online forums.

The capture of JAS bases in sambisa has actually opened that corridor for them. My fear is that as SamuelAnyawu has told us, many of the garrisons in Southern Borno haven't seen conflict in years. Things might be a bit difficult for most of the smaller garrisons. Supercamps should hold though.

For starters it didn't exist yet.

The level of ignorance about history which I witness when I speak to nigerians is very alarming. It's as if you guys don't distinguish between the present and the passed. Soon enough you will start wondering why the nigerian army didn't put up a fight against the british during colonization.
