Kwara state Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) said that it has arrested a-39 year-old man for allegedly defiling 12 years old girl.

Corps spokesperson in the state Babawale Afolabi in a statement gave the name of the alleged rapist as Segun Oni.

Mr. Afolabi said that the victim grand dad reported the case at the NSCDC Igbaja, Ifelodun local government area Divisional office on the 14th of this month.

He added that the grand-father reportedly “caught the suspect in the act of having canal knowledge of his twelve -year-old grand-daughter under a mango tree.

“After thorough investigation, it was discovered that the victim is suffering from congenital mental deficiency which has impaired her communication and social skills. Literarily she hardly talks to people.

“In addition, a medical report obtained from from an hospital in ijagbo, shows penetration and bruises in the victim’s private area.

“The suspect confessed that on several occasions he lured the young girl with gifts to isolated arears to take advantage of her.”

The spokesperson added that the suspect will be charged to court after a discreet investigation has been completed.
