It was gathered that the driver and the police officer were coming from the Benin airport where they went to pick the expatriate when the gunmen suddenly appeared from the bush and opened fire on the vehicle.

The driver and the police officer were alleged to have died on the spot while the expatriate was whisked into the bush by the unknown gunmen

This is just so cruel and barbacric.
All the kidnappers will meet theit terrible end before 7 days.

Benin auchi road has been a den for fulani herdsmen.. From bypass to Ahor to Ehor ,it has been a nightmare for travellers. A sting operation was conducted in Ahor forest and it was actually confirmed that they were fulanis. I don't know why the media has down played news regarding that road.

This exact scenario played out 3 weeks ago around the same area.

2 young persons returning from Abuja in their private vehicle were shot (sprayed) at. They were able to drive past and escape. One of them sustained severe bullet wounds and has had surgeries in the past weeks.

That road is a death trap similar to Kd-Abj road.

Meanwhile, police are busy mounting random check points within the city looking for typographical errors in vehicle papers.

Oga, don't blame police. Some of u Nigerians don't even have sense. Let me educate u first. Nigeria is extremely over populated and does not have enough police at all. Infact, it is like 5000 citizens have just 1 police offer. It is such a terrible situation.

Then the endsars came and detsroyed the very few facilities Nigeria police even have. The police that does not have sufficient facilities, endsars protests deatroyed many facilities. And left many weapons in the hands of armed robbers. People were setting criminals free from prisons.
I said it when it was happening that we will suffer becus politicians already have best of mopol and soldiers to guide them. It is the average Nigerians that will suffer more becus those robbers they are setting free and jubilating will come back and hunt us. We are aleady messed up.

The solution is to hand over policing to states and regions and allow states mount their borders. Simple. As citizens, we must pressure govt to do this else, we are all in trouble.

Many Nigerians think that nothing concern them with their country's politics. E concern us all. We better push our governors to push for state controlled security before it is too late. It has already cast and nothing can be done.

I think the unknown Gun folks got mad knowing Buhari was the driver ....

Can't believe this, driver and police officer died at the beginning of story only for the two officers to survive the shooting at the end of it. And who buries a crime scene victim immediately after a crime before investigation? Were his families on standby in a nearby bush waiting for the assailants to finish up so they just can take their beloved brother Buhari away. Seems you people don't travel interstate within Nigeria or you're simply out of touch with reality of things happening in Buhari's Nigeria.

These Fulani bastards don't rely on any so-called insiders or do any kind of Intel work. This was simply a random operation, which they carry out multiple times a day.

They simply jump out of the bush randomly and open fire on random vehicles driving by at that point in time, and kidnap occupants of the unfortunate vehicle who manage to survive.

The randomness, thoughtlessness and barbarity of this Fulani Kidnapper modus operandi makes it all the more a national crisis.

People are even killed everyday, traveling from one state to the other is no longer safe and you're talking about infrastructure.
Some of you think people that criticize this govt are happy about it,why won't they criticize the govt when it's clear that the country is in a far worse state in almost every sector than they met it 6years ago.
