For some months now, I eat outside cos of my day to day busy schedules...

Infact for almost a year now, have been eating outside.

So recently, my sales reps noticed something. No matter the amount of food we buy at our local buka, the maximum time to stay filled is 2hrs then we are hungry again.

So some people came around my place and it was a topic for discussion...

I was told most of them use broom to wash their pot before and after cooking.
Some use the water they used while bathing to cook..

I heard of one that happened in Akure back then at Arakale or is it Oyemekun now, they found human skull at the bottom of her soup pot, the soup never finishes before another is poured in but this time, the madam was not around and there were many people who came to buy food so so they couldn't add to the soup on time so the skull became visible..

Have heard about those who use water used in bathing dead body to cook..

So many things were discussed so, have you had any of such experience or experiences before or na just dem say dem say?

I don't even think towards diabolism when I eat out, the only thing I worry about is hygiene.

Reason why eating out will always be my last option whenever I'm hungry. If u plan your meals very well, it will reduce the rate at which we patronize such places that are prone to all these issues.

Hmm...for someone whose family business was food selling, I find it difficult to believe these stories. One reason could be because we never practiced such and people sometimes out of envy would say anything.

In this part of the world, most of these food vendors (bukataria) are very diabolical. This is the reason I don't eat outside.

The only thing I eat when outside are things like Gala, meatpie/fish pie etc when I'm really hungry.

In the 80s, there used to be this very popular Calabar woman that sells food only at night. She was so popular that only rich guys would access her food. Customers line would extend from the house to the road and wait time was like 1hour plus. Her food was very tasty and rich, stew, rice, fried plantain, bean, moi moi , she knew how to make them come out really good.
People would sometimes even fight when she bypasses the line to serve bigger boys with cash. But eventually, rumor of her supposed secret creeped in and the whole town was enraged. Her business did not survive it as mere thinking about what they accused her of would make one throw up any food from there.


What I have noticed about food business, If you cook well people will patronize you. Even here in the US, every other fast food would have scanty customers but when you go to WHATABUGER the line is always packed with extended wait time to place orders. Their food is good and unique kind of.
