No, dry wood CAN'T conduct electricity. The guy got too close to such a high voltage electrical field and got served. Why do you think power workers in this part of the world , even with all their zero-conducting gear turn off power supply before maintenance? High current creates magnetic fields while high voltage creates electric fields. You don't even need to touch the cable, just don't get too close or kaboom!

From my own assessment of this video, I think dude perhaps hit a cable he shouldn't have hit thereby causing that huge spark which eventually led to a panic .I don't think he got electrocuted... I stand to be corrected though.
