Please I need a very good lawyer to represent me in a suit against Airtel Nigeria.

I intend to sue them for fraud. It has to be fraud

You see,, they never allow my airtime rest. Always deducting. The recent craze now is to give me loans of 500 naira two or three times a week. The most annoying aspect is i never see any of this money,, they just give and zap back the whole thing. it's been going on for 2 months now and it just gets worst.

I went to their office last week to complain and they claim to have opened a CC case in which the thing was fixed only for me to find out that my 500 recharge of yesterday is gone. Upon checking, I saw I own them 2k loan! I have barely used this line all week. No calls!

The worst part is there is no clear USD code to opt out of this auto loan renewal or whatever. i don't even know where it comes from. All this started ever since I began to load my line heavily and allow up to 5k airtime to sit there. They zap it all now and give me a crazy loans on top

In this craze of a country, there has to be some accountability. Besides, this is daylight robbery if I ever saw one.

Pls, I need advice and,, or a good lawyer to move forward legally cos I think i have a good case here.

Dump the line and buy another network. I did it to etisalat

Dumping the line is an option. Porting to another network go pain them. You leave their network and still retain the number.

Not trying to advertise but Airtel is currently the best network in Nigeria; in terms of affordability, bonuses and etc followed by Glo (But Glo network coverage no reach everywhere)

Call the customer care or contact them through social media and ask them the processes of porting.
Tell them you want to Port to another network.


I thought it's only Glo that is unfortunate

Omo airtel deducted my money to the extent I went to thier office in banex and make a complain, while the customer care was attending to me trying to dial all the code he knows on my phone then boom #100 was deducted again from my airtime the guy got confused and sent my line info to thier engineering department while waiting for response omo dem don clear my 5h airtime naso I kuku comot d sim card break am kon drop am on the guy desk.....d guy self dey speechless I just Waka jeje comot dia, while many people were staring I know I spoil market for them dem that day cuz immediately I left I started seeing some people following me to outside.

The advise you need now is how to get the issue resolved. Now that you were not able to resolve the issue via physical shop as you claimed, try and chat them up on Facebook since Twitter is not available for now. I had similar issue and it was resolved via Facebook.

Chairman, have you contacted them on Facebook and given them your number to check the issue. Those guys on Facebook will tell you how to stop the loan stuff. The earlier the better.

It's not a matter of sim. My sister has Airtel router and every month she spends over 20k on 80gb of data, she's not even a heavy user. What does she use? Just Instagram, Whatsapp and ocassional Netflix (she only watches 1-2 movies a week). She was sufffering in silence for several months before she finally voiced out out of frustration. I laughed at her and told her that is how Airtel do.

She dithced the modem and got glo., 48gb for 8k. After 3 weeks she still had about 20gb of data left. Meanwhile she exhausts 40gb in 2 weeks using Airtel. Problem she had with GLO is that it was slower than Airtel but mtn is as fast as Airtel and they don't steal ur data like Airtel.

It wasn't airtel. It was one of my young employees stealing from me. He borrows thousands in airtime, sends it out to his line, and sells it off for cash. That was why I was getting loans of thousands without seeing the airtime anywhere.
He got caught after airtel showed me a printout of activities on my phone, I then saw where the money was going to. I've sent the idiot packing

The lesson, if you must help poor people never young boys and certainly don't bring them into your home
