Actually, there's nothing like Office of the first lady. It's not official anywhere in the world. First ladies only host/organize events in the government house. Buhari just said that to score cheap humility points from his daft supporters and paint GEJ bad 'cause his wife, Patience, was vocal.

No problem. You can just get a qualified woman around. First ladies only host or organize events. They're not under law to fulfill any obligation, since they didn't contest for any position. You may even have a first lady and she doesn't care about the duties, so you'll just get some other woman to do it. In all and all, you can be a single man and a president.
