Buying tokunbo corolla will cost averagely 2.6m..and surely they would have tampered with the speedometer.

This car is still in Germany and Notting like tampering..also cheaper than corolla.
That's if you're buying from a dealer. If you have someone you can trust in the US you won't spend up to that

So all you actually need is a proof that he bought an 07 Camry, picture of the car and a milage below 155k.

If he can prove these 3things, you'll pay him the 50k challenge rite?

Below is the information of my 07 matrix coming it next month.
If he can get such data for his camry, it qualifies to win the challenge?

Hello guys, you are doing a great job on this thread!

I'm a newbie here and will really appreciate your advice concerning my e-hailing plans based on your wealth of experiences:

I have about 1.5 - 1.7million budget to get a car for bolt/uber and I'm faced with 2 options:

1. Buy a Tokunbo car: The pro is that it will give less issues for a while. The drawback is the long time of delivery due to importation process and of course the higher price.

2. Buy Naija used: Major risk here is that one may inherit several hidden legacy issues with the car. But I believe this can be mitigated with proper due diligence and by targeting first grade Naija used vehicles. The advantages here are that you get the car almost immediately and lower costs compared to Tokunbo.

Major question here is which option do I go for based on my budget and plans to avoid huge spends on repairs and maintenance? Also what model of vehicle is most suitable for e-hailing within the specified budget?

N.B: There is a third option. I have an Hyundai Elantra 2009 that is not so much in optimal condition (AC & radio not working, bad shocks and engine plugs, faulty car doors and worn out seats). I intend to sell the Hyundai and add money to make up the 1.5-1.7m budget. However, is it wise to totally upgrade the Elantra and use for ehailing instead of buying another car considering the upsurge in vehicle prices in Naija today?

Thanks as your responses flow in.

Your best bet if the issues you mentioned are not merely symptoms of a bigger malaise.

No apologize, No compensation from him. We went out separate ways immediately he found his wallet. He didn't even have the gut to tell me to take him back to his destination. He knew he f**cked up by trying accuse me of stealing of his wallet. And funny enough when I tried to go online my Bolt rating dropped from 4.90 something to 4.60 something. I just shook my head in pity that Bolt don't know what drivers go through out there, they just base their assumptions solely on feedback rating they get from riders

You are a gentleman.

I will charge cost of going to the police station and going back to his house. People around go help us judge the matter.

He can use the vin# of the car to bring out the MILEAGE of the car verfiry mileage simple as 123 .....

We need to also verify his real name.. As u can see on the dock receipt my name is there top left side (drew) People know me already...

He needs to gather as much information as possible to proof ownership.......

Time is ticking the offer is valid till June 28th 3pm .....

Me, I wouldn't make any stop for more than 10mins. When riders say "but the time is reading na" (that's what they mostly say), I clearly tell them that Bolt charges N11/min so I'll rather not wait. If I'm to wait, you're paying extra.
