The evil fantastically corrupt leaders of this failed state want to slash salaries. And are unwilling to reduce the size of the most expensive convoys of government official in the world. No Governor/Premier in UK,Canada,Netherlands,Spaine, move around the S Class,Landcruiser VX,Range Rovers. |

They borrow money from Western countries to fund this ostentatiousness and will go crying back to them for debt forgiveness. |

Nigerians please let’s do something about this. Even if it’s just voting the right people into power please. You can’t be voting people in just because of tribalism or hatred, or whatever negative reasons because of spite. There are so many people that can shake up governance at all levels, EXTREMELY brilliant Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa people. People making drones, business moguls, intelligent teachers, doctors, engineers, marketers... why then do we choose agberos, godfathers and the likes? Elections are not parties, they have real and serious consequences My people, black men and women, we deserve so much better you and I. God did not create us so suffer in a nation blessed with resources. Just last week there was a thread here were the senate said Nigeria is poor, yet look at how they ride in the richest cars. |

Our former colonial leaders with the exception of the Prime Minister use the train and their personal cars to get to work.Or cycle or even walk. |

The country is just a failed state and will not witness any sign of progress as long as the leaders continue to live like kings. How can anyone justify this?Even a common LGM chairman has a 20 car convoy. Where else, his counterparts in developed countries walk and act like normal people. |

Curent UK Prime Minister,Boris Johnson, use to bike to work before he became Prime Minister. Go the United Kingdom or Netherland you won't even know who is a Senator,Governor or House of Parliament member. You can run into them cycling to work,on the train or at a traffic stop.Western politicians are essentially upgraded civil servants. |

Rugaria:Well said. I just don't see how we'll acheive this. Something drastic needs to be done, just don't know what. Demonstrations will be stopped as we saw during endsars. I thought about how we got here and using that as a roadmap to exiting this cycle of doom. Our best and most brilliant people, the ones who are humble and intelligent go into professions like law and medicine etc. Where do the dummies and "average" ones go? Politics. These are people who have nothing else going for them so they have to steal. So how do we change the narrative and start to put the qualified and moral ones in public offices? Is the solution a political movement that is bred among the young working class. A merit based movement that aims to gather the ones who have a passion to get involved but don't know how cos everything seems doomy and gloomy. It's a drunkman's fantasy, I know. I just wish we can do more than complain online. We're all complaining online. Why can't we start to organize our thinking and doing solutions |
