Ebonyi state that is even poorer than Aba Has the biggest mall by landmass in West Africa (bigger than anything the called mall in all Yoruba land expect Lagos combined) Ebonyi has longest glass tunnel flyover in West Africa Yet south west don't even have one, Ebonyi also has 13 flyover bridges with ongoing construction of 7 more (Which is bigger than the number of all flyovers in South West joint together except Lagos) You can Google this to verify @ wickedtruths Also nsukka metropolis landmass is bigger than Ibadan landmass So I wonder how you started saying Ibadan is that big when a simple goggle search proves you wrong (Just becos Enugu city has outshine nsukka city which has most of the landmass, doesn't make Ibadan bigger than nsukka) 9 Likes 1 Share

Most of the houses with rusted roofing sheets were built early in the 1900s. They were a sign of wealth and when Nnamdi Azikiwe came to Ibadan, he was shocked at such level of wealth and development. That was why he wanted to use NCNC to takeover Ibadan politics. As at when those in Ibadan were building these houses, Igbos were still living in trees and muddy toilets with thatched huts. Poverty was so rampant in Igboland that when they imposed tax on Igbos, the women rioted because they were too poor to pay. That was the Aba Women Riot of 1929 where 51 women and 1 man died.
