What is the average salary someone can have to sustain themselves in Lagos? What about Port Harcourt?

Whats the equivalent of making "six figures" in the west? (basically the salary that most people aspire to have, and if u have it you are considered upper middle class)

No amount of money is enough to survive in Nigeria presently cos both the rich and poor are seriously feeling the effects of this administration. People earning 50k and less are wailing bitterly, people earning 500k are wailing as well, if you want to survive as a youth, just save enough money and escape from this fiercy furnace called Nigeria, even if it's Ghana just go there and manage yourself.

This I have seen.

18k to 50k - lower class

50k to 200k - middle class

200k to 500k - upper class

500k and above - Rich.

Unfortunately, more than 50% of Nigeria's population are on the lower class threshold, no surprise we're the poverty capital of the world.

If you find yourself in the middle class, na God's Grace. But right now, even they live like poor people due to the sky-high prices of commodities.

It's relative. It depends a lot on the kind of house you want to stay in Lagos, and also the distance to your place of work. Let's assume you are single and goes for a self con in the mainland, you should strive to earn 100 - 150k to be able to pay your rent and cover some other expenses.

The sad thing is that, most low and average income earners in Lagos have little to no saving. Whatever they make goes into immediate needs.

But the sad reality is that, more than 60% of Lagos residence earns less than 50k. You can easily see that in the standard of living.

The average salary in Nigeria is 31,000 naira or less. We have more underpaid workers than those who earn optimal wages.

Our average salary self in Nigeria cannot buy 1 bag of rice and one chicken. So why people nor go run comot to seek a better future?
