That's why those earning in USD are not feeling the impact of Bubu's "rough driving". Look at how we fell from 900 to less than 300. I hope Naira heals post 2023 if not, we're heading to the path Indonesia took.

Yes, those earning in usd are the major survivors. That is the way to go.
But you see this evil recessionists? People making money from bitcoin, them block am, froze their accounts, from Twitter, them block am, youths that were making usd on fiver etc they unleashed Sars to harass them claiming they are chasing yahoo boys. In short you must suffer!

Guy!
Full Bank staffs earn decent income . Ancient bank like Wema pay their 24-27yr old executive assistants 221k monthly before tax, 300k leave allowance annually, sometime Profit sharing upto 400k , December bonuses,13month salary, good pension & HMO, 5k for weekend duties and they have access to loan.
And if you are in the branch , there are so many insider trading ( Dropping MTCN for Gboys, Forex trading, POS business, Domiciliary account funding for car purchase, Proof of fund for overseas verification etc).
Don't compare Workforce/Whytecleon contract staffs earning 75k-115k to them.

No amount of money is enough to survive in Nigeria presently cos both the rich and poor are seriously feeling the effects of this administration. People earning 50k and less are wailing bitterly, people earning 500k are wailing as well, if you want to survive as a youth, just save enough money and escape from this fiercy furnace called Nigeria, even if it's Ghana just go there and manage yourself.

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would consider 50K middle class. A while ago, I left a job that paid me 130K, and while I didn't go hungry it was quite tasking for me to meet up with expenses: fuel and maintain my car, pay rent, send a little something from time to time to my people, dash girlfriend small money, add new stuff to my wardrobe from time to time, etc.

Abeg if your money no reach at least 350K monthly in this current Nigeria, you're not middle class. You're poor.

Earning about $1000 a month in Nigeria a month is not poor. You may not be rich but it is not poor. Your spending habit or responsibility may make you poor but it is not your earning that is poor.

There are lot of Nigerians abroad whose take home pay are not up to #1m (about $2500) a month and are living decent life where cost of livings are more expensive than Nigeria. These guys still send money home to help people and still work little by little on their project.

The problem with some of us is that we are living above our level of income.

It's relative. It depends a lot on the kind of house you want to stay in Lagos, and also the distance to your place of work. Let's assume you are single and goes for a self con in the mainland, you should strive to earn 100 - 150k to be able to pay your rent and cover some other expenses.

The sad thing is that, most low and average income earners in Lagos have little to no saving. Whatever they make goes into immediate needs.

But the sad reality is that, more than 60% of Lagos residence earns less than 50k. You can easily see that in the standard of living.
it is time for sad truth,i hustle in lagos for 7years before i relocate to ibadan, but suprisingly, what have achieve in 8months in ibadan is bigger than my 7 years in lagos, but i use to thank GOD that i go to lagos, because i learnt a lot there
