The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema, says it is untrue to say that President Muhammadu Buhari does not like the Igbos.

Onyema defended his viewpoint on Saturday on the grounds that his airline had hugely benefited from the current administration.

If you want africa or nigeria to grow then Nigerian grown investments need to be supported. Why did USA accuse AFDB president of theft ? Why did they accuse of onyema of laundering ? Why were they against Okonjo iweala's ascension to WTO DG position ? Why did they accuse Jim ovia and emefiele of tax evasion ? He pushed (on the operators side) for customs duty waiver and VAT waiver with the help of bushari's people (hadi sirika, senate president lawan, smart adeyemi, min of finance). He is pushing for other things . He has been given land at Lagos airport. If he wanted land at enugu he will have gotten it. I suspect the airport development in anambra (his state) made him ditch the enugu plan.

Then anambra is a better place for him. If he even got the enugu deal he would have been in and out of court multiple times especially after sirika leaves that seat. The civil servants in Nigeria's aviation agencies are very anti business (FAAN, NAMA, AIB) . They will frustrate any business man till death. Look at what they are doing to BiCourtney. Everyone attests to MM2 being the most profitable airport terminal in Nigeria and available data supports that but they are still trying to take it away from Bicourtney. GAT was meant to be under Bicourtney but they have taken the matter to court with a legal battle that has lasted close to or more than 10 years. Legend hotel (Harry Akande's project) is still in court as FAAN is draggin the place with his company. The founder passed on last year. After obasanjo left office rchard branson was frustrated out by FAAn among others. Under this kind of harsh condition it is better he focuses on the anambra airport (state owned) since Nigeria is yet to allow private airport projects.
