Why does 4.5gp have big effect on 1.5 cgpa than 3.5cgpa?

i mean when you have 1.5 cgpa and you now have 4.5gp in your following semester it boost your result easily but when you have cgpa of 3.5 before and you have 4.5 cgpa in ur next semester it just adds little compare to have 1.5 before

Lol....I get.
This can only be understood by those who understand how CGPA really works.

Similar thing happens around 4.6-4.7.. vs 4.8; 4.9; 5.0 where loosing a negligible point can seriously drag you from 4.9+ to almost below 4.8 or 4.7....while having little effects on other lower cgpa.

I think it's due to how CGPA is designed to work.

Na Wetin my cgpa dey do be this.... I have A, it goes up by 0.01
When I have B or C (rare).. It will just drop anyhow.

It is not easy to maintain a good cgpa especially First Class range
