Four other members of the House of Representatives from Zamfara State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The lawmakers are Ahmed Bakura of Bakura/Maradun federal constituency, Ahmed Shehu Bungudu/Maru federal constituency and Suleiman Gummi Gummi/Bukkuyum federal constituency and Bello Shinkafi, Shinkafi/Zurmi federal constituency.

Their defection was announced in a joint letter read by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, during the plenary on Tuesday.

In the letter, they cited the division in the opposition party as the reason for their action.

A member of the House from the state, Sani Galadima, had last week dumped the PDP for the ruling APC.

Both parties are d same, switching from one to another doesn't really matter (for me). The most important thing is that they represent their constituencies well.

Quite sad that majority of our politicians have no ideology and will only go in the direction of their greed. Obviously they are acting as appointees of the the governor when actually they were "elected" by their constituencies.
We can only hope that a law will be enacted banning elected officials from leaving the party that sponsored them to power. My two kobo

In the build-up to the "Edo No Be Lagos" elections, that was how many PDP party members defected to APC thinking that Oshiomhole, Tinubu and Buhari will perform some magic that would make APC win.

In the end, Edo people showed that they were no push-overs and all of them were disgraced.

Our Southern Politicians...Wake up.....Dont sit idle watching the North realigns to clinch formidable political parties primaries presidential tickets.

We should walk the talk..and ensure we also have enough base at each of the popular political parties that can win presidential elections...We should ensure we win those primaries.

As it stands today in APC..the North has upper hand....If it will take us to lure and persuade PDP politicians in the SS and SE to cross-carpet to have the number...Let's do it !!!

It should only be 2003 o and when he does, he should rule over the north alone. If at all any election will happen, I don't see any sensible southerner or Westerner voting any of these cross-carpeting APC cum PDP old scammers. We ain't eating our shit again.
