Has anyone on this thread succeeded in changing naira to rand using a Nigerian bank? Biko what steps were taken?
Exchange rate outside banks isn't friendly

Try Stanbic IBTC or Standard Chartered Banks. I know those 2 sell Rands (maybe cos of their South African affiliations). Another option is to buy your PTA in USD and convert to Rands in South Africa. 3rd option is peer to peer.

You need at least six months validity on your passport.

They may not grant you visa

Airlines may not allow you board

Hello House,

Please a quick one.

Does your proof of funds need to be in a Nigerian account?

Can I present a German blocked account or domiciliary?

Thanks.

Do most Nigerians not live in places like Parklands in Cape town, Sunnyside in Tshwane, CBD in Gqeberha/ PE, Hillbrow & Yeoville in Jozi ? . Those arent suburbs, most people living there are students from poor backgrounds, cashiers sharing a room , job seekers from villages etc.

How come we see less of them in the surbubs vs the broken -down neighbourhoods?. We are not talking about exceptions here ,yes we have Nigerians in Sandton, Midrand, fourways etc, but compared to the ghetto ones filled with struggling locals and other poor foreigners?

Makes sense. A struggle for scarce resources.

Consistently send them emails until you get your visa, quietness does not seem to help anymore.

I just received my passport yesterday and visa was denialed on the ground that "documents lack credibility". No particular document was mentioned.
They also said I can make a written representation to the Consulate via VFS within 10 working days. Pls I need advice.
I applied for a visiting visa proposed June 28 to July 15

Urgent please

The emails sent and calls made to VFS Global yields no positive feedback as they too cannot say when the South African High Commission will conclude their assessment and provide feedback on the status of your application.

Good day every one.
Pls I need your help.
Is it good to make an appeal to the Consulate General after your visa application is denialed?
If yes, please how do I go about it? Do I have to book appointment with VSF again or I should just go there?

Pls help me.
