BREAKING!!! "Self-determination, Not A Crime": Sowore To Lead #FreeNnamdiKanu Protest August 5


The publisher of SaharaReporters and Human Right activist, Omoyele Sowore has stated that Self-determination is not a crime and will lead a #FreeNnamdiKanu protest on August 5th, 2021.

Omoyele made this known through his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.

IGBERE TV had reported the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the remand of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu till July 26, 2021 following his arrest. 
The Department of State Services (DSS) took Kanu to court same day his arrest was announced.

Kanu was re-arraigned on charges bordering on alleged treason.

Justice Binta Nyako said he is to be remanded in DSS custody pending the determination of his trial.


The IPOB leader appeared in court without his lawyer or any member of his defence team.


Kanu told the court that he decided to go underground because his house was raided but he was able to escape.


He said if he had not escaped, he might have been killed like other members of the group.


The judge, who advised him not to feel discomfiture to stand his trial, urged him to get across to his lawyer for the trial.


Kanu was first arrested on October 14, 2015, and arraigned on 11-count charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, managing an unlawful society, publication of defamatory matter, illegal possession of firearms and improper importation of goods, among others.

The way the Government is handling the real problems, terrorism, hunger high cost of living etc with kid gloves, refusing to strictly address the Fulani herds who engage in criminal activities while suppressing the oppositions, trying to silence the masses, promoting one tribe against the others will make it that a time will come when the masses will arise and they cannot do anything about it. Average security personnel is being shortchanged. Some are just waiting for an opportunity to join the masses. If the Government cannot do anything about the hunger in the country, they should better be careful. Endsars was just a sample. It is obviously clear that it is mostly some Northerners are happy with the arrest of MNK, why, I can't tell. But average Southerner is not happy with the arrest but rather see it as oppression and oppression. The people who claimed responsibility for the attacks on a sitting Governor have never been invited for questioning. Boko Harm is still sacking villages, so many farmlands have been deserted, school children have been abducted, some towns have their names changed, no corresponding action taken against them. Why not organize the free the School Children protest in kaduna

Thought he was in jail awaiting trial for contravening bail and lately for incitement to violence and killings of law enforcement officers evident in historic Social Media platform records. Aren’t there many in Nigeria calling for self determination e.g in MOSOB not in jail?
