I've been away from this thread for quite a while now. I would be glad if anyone can fill me in on the issue of impressing the VO based on career progression by enrolling on a program that is similar to one's current work experience. Must this ALWAYS be the case? Can't there be a possibility of an intention to change careers as the reason for choosing to study an entirely different program?

Its not really about Ethiopian airline per se even though I tried to look around and still saw students from other airlines. Its good that you have the letter of support from school for travel. I dont have that and that may have contributed to it, but I had my enrollment letter. I will advise that if you can reach out by calling to CBSA Officers or by mail. please try to do that. I think its a new development and you may rea;lly not find anyone specific to the airline. I also read here sometime last week that people where sent back but those people were actually to resume in September which doesn't apply to You nor I.

I started classes in May and the semester runs till August. In addition, the Prof. I am doing research with is expecting me for research at the lab. I have verification of enrolment and also letter of support from the school for travel. I am fully vaccinated but I still booked for 3 days quarantine to avoid all this kind of mess.

Asides @oyinluv, has anyone here traveled with ethiopian airlines recently and had this issue. Cus it will be really devastating if they don't allow me board.

Based on what I read hear about Ethiopian airlines previously here, the experiences had been positive and I don't why this.

In my opinion, it makes no sense to take a loan to study in Canada when you have a valid visa to Aussie despite the situation.

In Canada, you can get partial or full funding for an engineering study. You can use the wait time in pitching potential supervisors. The process will keep you distracted and prep you ahead of your study.

Don't pressure yourself since the means are not currently available. Even with a study loan, a visa can still be denied and you must have to pay the interest (if any is applied).

If you still intend to move forward with Canada, stick with your engineering background.

Wow. I’m sorry this happened to you. I thought Ufitfly was a legitimate travel agency. They planned my vacation in December 2020 and it was hitch-free. Please try to pay for the fee yourself with Flutterwave. At this point, giving it to a third party is risky.

Please run away from all this so called agents they will tell you all source of lies in place of truth to win your mind the will be telling you we are office based we are not road side all this are lies Embassy does not no them is you they know because is your name on the application and not the agent name. after casing me delay on my application since January 23, 2021 the returned back my money on Monday July 12, 2021 as I stopped them not to make any other payment on my behalf because after using another person credit card for transaction the person will go and cancel it. the dnt use company credit card. Please is this good at all

Same with other airlines, my brother was denied boarding with Air France, he tried using Turkish airlines, same thing. I guess its the new airline rule

I was denied boarding as well when I was going back in May, cause I visited nigeria.. I’m done with school btw but my study visa was still valid, they denied me boarding. I had to book a flight to the US and went in through the US.

No boo you’re wrong, not all airlines passes through the US
BA goes through London
Turkish airlines: Istanbul
Lufthansa: Germany
Royal Air maroc: Morroco
Air France: Paris
KLM: Amsterdam

You don’t need transit visa for these

Only Delta I’ve seen that goes through the US

I just got a taste of ill luck today. Yesterday, I received a message that my Program at Hanson-Bramptom Campus for Cambrian College has suspended their Postgraduate Program for Fall,2021 and the school revoked my previous acceptance letter and issued new letter. The new letter is still the same thing with the previous in most things except the tuition fee which reduced by about 6000CAD and Internship hours reduced to 105hours from 300hours in previous and Campus which changed from Hanson-Bramptom to Sudbury Campus.
So I forwarded the new LOA through Webform and today,in less than 24hrs, I got an update, my Eligibility Review Changed From "We are reviewing if you meet the Eligibility requirements" to " Your Application is in progress, we will inform you when we begin your eligibility review".
So, it means my application has started afresh or what exactly does it mean?

Your application will not commence afresh and this may not necessarily be caused by the updated letter you forwarded. It sometimes happens with some "active" applications being opened or reviewed. It will return to the stage of eligibility review as previously shown.

No need to panic.

Request the notes, it will help you stay calm for a while knowing what stage your application is and/or the activities that may have occurred if there are any vitals yet.

If you didn't do an upfront medical, do so and forward it to IRCC. Most times, it can help trigger some actions.

Hi guys, I just had to say it out loud that the wait is tiring. Today makes it exactly 6months I applied for my study permit. Applied Feb 13th and up until now no decision has been made. The wait is really tiring. Upfront medicals was updated to passed on 10th June and eligibility started the same day. I have sent webforms and mails to the point that they don't respond anymore but just give you the automated response of having received your mail. I applied for my GCMS notes on July 2nd. Concerning your question i do not know other schools with health related courses, do you have any issues with either of the schools you mentioned above? If you need any assistance concerning Conestoga you can reach out to me.
