Gurus in the house . Serious advice needed.

Please is it better to buy used OEM parts (LADIPO) or used aftermarket parts ( ASPAMDA/TRADE FAIR COMPLEX, OJO, LAGOS).

We all know that brand new OEM parts ordered from Amazon or eBay are quite expensive.

There are parts sellers in trade fair complex, Ojo in Lagos that sell new after market parts .

So if the advice is to buy new parts . What type of new parts is good to buy as new aftermarket and what part is good to buy as OEM used parts?

Please serious responses will be appreciated

It really depends on the part. A lot of car parts can only be found as used parts in the Nigerian market, while certain parts can easily be found as new after market.

Trade fair has a mix of very original parts and Chinese clones, more of Chinese close as they sell faster.

Vehicle model also matters, certain vehicle models are not so many in the market and as such you will not find parts for that vehicle in trade fair market.

So provide more info.

Finally, we supply new and used parts locally and via pre order so contact us so we can do the running around for you.

So quick question. Of what quality are your locally sourced parts?

An average of 20 containers off load in ladipo market every day, there are about 50 warehouses within the market, it is the largest auto spare part hub for used parts in Africa. (Argue with your keyboard)

Note: any parts that its after market is available, ohboy, buy am manage for the mean time until u get money and/or a reliable source of either a confirm used oem (which is rare) or brandnew oem(which is expensive)

I meant of what quality are your locally sourced aftermarket new parts?

You said the Chinese cloned ones sell faster but that they also have good quality after market new ones in trade fair.

So my question is as regards the new aftermarket ones, do you sell the Chinese cloned ones or the good quality aftermarket new ones?

Don't know about the quality of parts available ... but can say new Chinese clones may not be as good as fairly used OEM from abroad. Chinese clones can vary a lot in quality depending on the market. Clones for the US market will be wayyy better than those for Nigeria... because of acceptable standards. Now the question is buying used ... was the used part from China ... made for the US market?... or the Nigerian market? ... is hell to find that out.

Ok now i understand what you mean. Let's take a Denso fuel pump for example. I've seen a new aftermarket market denso fuel pump part from a tradefair dealer with denso made in Japan sticker on it. I asked the dealer and he said it's OEM .

I have also seen a used oem fuel pump in Ladipo made by same denso with a made in USA sticker on it.

My question is did they just out the sticker on it ?
