Hello house

Will going into the Express Entry pool negatively affect my chances of getting a student visa?

Thanks

My GCMS notes have not arrived. I haven't gotten any response to my email specifically. But I got an email today from Nairobi that my application is under active review da da da.
I've done everything I can do (except anyone has any other suggestions). Figured there's no point being worried about it.

I think we should just watch as things unfold. There is definitely nothing to do beyond what you have already done. So, we should just relax. Hopefully when your GCMS notes arrive, it will offer a sneak preview into their dealings.

lol via webform.. good luck
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 9:14pm On Jul 14, 2021
It should not, as we have seen on this thread in the past of an applicant having an EE profile at the same time getting his TRV approved..

And at the same time, in the past on this thread, we have seen a VO refusing an applicant pointing out in the GCMS note that the applicant has an active EE profile.... But several applicants that have EE profile have gotten their TRV approved.... So it shouldnt.. Peace

My work permit just got approved

Biometrics March 10th with upfront medicals

Double approval!!!!, I’m so excited
Canada is sweet but hard when you live alone with no family, it’s so depressing ngl. Wasn’t easy for me doing that for 4years. I have friends though but it’s different without family.
Now having my brother and sister coming over is what I’ve always dreamt of and I’m so happy my dreams came true.
My brother got approved in January: coming for bsc
My Sister got approved today: coming for masters
Thank you everyone for all the tips you give on here, it was really helpful. The land of maple will favour us all

This story sweet menh,
Home away from home.
Congratulations and i wish all of you the very best.

I guess it's faster, as some checks had been done in the previous application, so the concerned area will be scrutinized, and decision reached.

It will end in praise for us all.

Thank you very much.

Me too o
Imagine just 9 weeks and I feel like I'm running mad, at least let eligibility start and give me small hope.
God will do it, amen

There are some things we don't have control over and this canada process is one of them, please relax and enjoy yourself while prayerfully hoping for the best, stay in control, don't let it control you.

E easy? grin

Hello house. Pls I need an answer to this question.. if an applicant receives Medical request, will he/she be given specific hospital where medical test should be taken or he has the right to do it any where?
I will be glad to read from you people.
Thanks

Mr Ogunleyesijibomi ,I'm fully aware that you know the answer to this question.

Anyway, the hospital won't be specified. The individual has a choice of booking an appointment with either IOM or QLIFE; these are the only recognized hospitals for now.

Couple of months back; I would have totally agreed with you.

I don't think it's faster because I believe it's treated just like a fresh application and that's why a second applicant could still be rejected for another reason that wasn't up in the first application.

Just my thought though.

Canada wont impose any medical clinic on applicants... An applicant can chose from the 2 approved Medical centers i.e IOM and Qlife.. Peace

Not correct... Re-application is not necessary faster than the first application... We have seen on this thread in the past(2019) where an applicant's 3rd approved application took almost a year(11 months) while his first refused application took just 2 months and many more like that.. It can and may not be faster.. So you cant categorically say it is faster.... Peace

Do you know if decisions for reapplications are faster than first applications?

The wait is quite something.

Pls for those who allow other people make payments for their application. Pls just download barter by fluttwave and create a virtual dollar card. It's very easy and less risky. Pls there is no need to send money to anyone to make payments on your behalf.
It worked thank you

Hello house,

Below is the response I got an hour ago from “my MP” after reaching out to him to make enquiries about the status of my application, which has exceeded the processing time:

“Hello,

IRCC states that the medicals and background checks are completed and they are currently reviewing eligibility.
They will be in touch with you directly should anything further be required.”

As at the last time I checked my account (in the morning) the eligibility hasn’t started and background checks was in progress. Presently, I am unable to login. It keeps taking me back to the home page.

I have sent numerous emails and web forms to multiple visa offices and I got the usual generic response.
Anyways, I have already ordered for my GCMS notes. I hope to receive them towards the end of this month (ordered on 25th June).
Right now, my app is in the hands of God.

March 1st applicant.

As it is the mantra here, it will surly end in praise!

Yes, New Brunswick has a WhatsApp group for Nigerians living in the province, but you can only join when you arrive in Canada.

I will try to ask the admin if someone still in Nigerian can also join, but I doubt it.

TheShaman:
I kept my earlier GAA Reservation I had made at the hotel a month prior because Toronto wasn't my final destination and I needed a place to stay for a while to get my bearings (I entered on Thursday and my flight to Winnipeg was the next week Thursday due to cheaper ticket prices) When I got to the hotel, I informed them about my vaccination exemption which they acknowledged and they requested I fill a form so that they can confirm from Public Health Canada and then issue a refund of the GAA Rate (about 930+ CAD).
