Hate him or loath him, PMB is a silent achiever. His giants stride in infrastructural development will stand the test of time |

yrex01:hello, read what I wrote. it is good to criticize evil but you should not LIE AGAINST YOUR COUNTRY. Nigeria is NOT THE MOST DANGEROUS COUNTRY ON EARTH. Criticize with truth and not lies. |

Fahdiga:This must be a full time job for you to disparage every effort to get things done in the country. Just to bring back your principals who had no noteworthy achievement while they ran the country. But I must assure you that it will end in failure as usual, the best you can have is the current allowance you get for this job. Use it wisely as it will soon dry up when your principals don't get to insert their straw to resume sucking the country dry. |

Fahdiga:Let him be. We like am like that. If other administrations had committed to fixing and building infrastructures as PMB is doing, Nigeria won't be what it is today. You are just so ignorant about how complex managing insecurity is. In case you do not know, security is the most localized segment of governance. Whether you agree or not, the gross incompetence and sheer ineptitude of LG Chairmen and State Governors are largely responsible for the insecurity in the specific areas that we are witnessing them. Follow what Fayose, even as a PDP governor, did to growing insecurity in Ekiti while still in office. Wike, though I am not a fan of his tout-like, dominating kind of leadership, also showed real capacity and leadership by not allowing the activities of the proscribed IPOB group, to metamorphose into civil disturbance and insecurity in Rivers state. If you analyse what is happening in South Africa, you would get an inkling into how much Buhari has faired with managing insecurity. Drug trafficking and abuse of hard drugs have been at the center of fueling insecurity in Nigeria. I am certain you have not been following the recent interceptions of large amounts of illegal arms / ammunition and hard drugs across the country. For instance, only last week, over 4billion worth of hard drugs was intercepted. There are many of such instances. It is amusing how you call looters and destroyers of public properties peaceful protests. Where a person's or group's rights end is where those of others begin. Crippling economic activities and causing civil disturbance is not no protest. This is a democracy. If we must operate a democracy, then grievances should be passed through the State Houses of Assembly and NASS. Why do we have the legislature? People can't just wake up from sleep and shut down roads, towns or cities; loot stores; burn down public buildings; attack and kill security operatives, in the guise of protests. No president will allow that. If you really are convinced that Buhari is a terrorist. Take him to court with your facts, instead of coming here to say what you know nothing about. |

InaNla:The same killings sustained under Obasanjo when 19 soldiers were beheaded and Zaki Biam village was levelled killing both innocent and guilty. How was Odi handled after the people killed a detachment of soldiers and policemen? Very democratic way of handling things. Which village or town has Buhari asked soldiers to go level in retaliation? And this is the tyrant oh |

chaloskyx:See this confused one, because of accident, we should not start construction of new rails? If the Wright brothers had your mindset, they would have abandoned further development of airplane and we would still depend on the sea for intercontinental travel. You have not disclosed your real problem |

Coldie:Better to have minister of transport like Diezani who did nothing in their area of origin and nothing in any other part of Nigeria. Can you even remember she held that position? Can you remember the achievement of any other past minister of transport? |

justmondris:To show you are dull, do you know rails will drop transport cost of the same food by at least 50% due to speed and efficiency, fewer drivers/motor boy, no traffic hold up etc. Once food prices start getting cheaper you'll eat and forget the stupid statement you made here. |

Ovamboland:Read what I said again slowly and assimilate b4 quoting me with a junk reply. Key concerns. 1. Trains that are already breaking down. 2. Bad economy which remains unfixed will not be solved by just trains alone. |

presidency:While the developments in the rail sector are good, I am not convinced that this is best use of the funds that we have deployed to execute them. Perhaps focusing on power might have been a much better investment. A $1.5bln loan to fund Lagos-Ibadan rail could also fund say 4 250MW solar power plants in say Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger and FCT. And these will be plants with no excuse to perform optimally because they will not need any fuel source other than the sun, which no one can take away. It could be argued that having 24hr electricity is more valuable in the long run for Nigerians/ Nigeria than the train services. I will need electricity everyday at home and at work, yet my use of the train will be very limited. What if I'm going to Benin, Akure, Shagamu, Ijebu Ode from Lagos? The train is of no value to me. Even the real power of the train is yet to be harnessed, which is for freight purposes. That is where the money really is. Not from passenger services. Passenger service trains are hardly profitable anywhere in the world. |

Ovamboland:Hmm what a senseless idiot. You actually think that the current high cost of food stuff is the country is because of transportation challenges or high cost of transportation? It’s because many farmers are now scared to go to farm because of insecurity and also, most of their crops have been damaged or eaten by cattle. Stupid paid comment by this stupid government. Na erosion Dey your skull. |

justmondris:Oga, there is never a single reason for anything in economics. It is a combination of the two and others. Ever increasing population and lower yields from the land compared to Europe and America is also part of the problem. If foods moves across Nigeria by trucks and diesel has gone from 150 to 290, what do you expect to happen to food prices. |

COMPAQ:Oga there is always a major cause for anything.Go and read a book called 80/20 principle by Richard Koch and come back let’s discuss. When you are done reading that book, you will know that there might be hundred factors why there is food scarcity in the country and only one or two factors are responsible for more than 80% of the cause. When you identify these key factors which are called the vital few and solve them, 80% of the problem will be solved. There is what is called the vital few and the trivia many. Always focus on the vital few when solving a problem. The other factors which are usually very many, are just distractions. This principle is an ancient principle for solving problems in every area of life, business e.t.c |

Nope we should stop borrowing money to construct rubbish that would endanger citizens lives and further impoverish the nation with debts whats the point of borrowing billions of dollars to construct rails that arnt up to standard isnt that a waste of money or you dont think so? Wright brothers ke? did they tell you the billions we are borrowing is to be used as an experiment? rail is not new tech that there should be room for mistakes for goodness sake the first rail track became functional in 1808 that's 213 years ago you think numerous improvements haven't been done on rail systems you don't mean to tell me na for naija hand the world would discover a more effective way of building rail tracks oga u must me mad your country is obviously corrupt and as usual cutting corners using substandard materials to build in order to make quick bucks you are here talking about wright brothers ordinary mosquito net una no fit do yeye de smell Ovamboland: |
