PRESS STATEMENT
NSCDC 2019 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The Commandant General and Management of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, in compliance with the directive of the Board of Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Board hereby notifies the public of the commencement of the 2019 nationwide Recruitment Exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

You will recall that due to the Covid 19 pandemic which ravaged the world in early 2019 and 2020, the recruitment exercise was put on hold. However, now that the pandemic has reasonably subsided, the Board has reconsidered the commencement of the recruitment process.

670,000 - Invited to upload
200,000 - Responded to uploading
53,116 - Wrote CBT
6,500 - Shortlisted for final screening out of which

5,000 will be employed.

We therefore wish to inform all the prospective applicants that sat for the Computer Based test that 6,500 candidates out of 53,116 have been shortlisted to attend the final screening of credentials and physical fitness verification and will be invited via SMS from the 2nd to 25th of August 2021. Applicants are advised to check the application portal: http://cdfipb.careers from the 20th of July, 2021, for their names, screening locations, guidelines for the recruitment exercise and print out their invitation slip without which they will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.

For complaints, please contact the Board and NSCDC. Applicants whose names did not appear on the website should not present Himself/Herself in any of the venues.

It is pertinent to reaffirm that all recruitment processes in our Service must go through due diligence and reflect federal character principle and as such, we enlist the participation of Federal Character Commission and other State actors as observers. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have announced schedules for the final stage of its 2019 recruitment exercise.

About 6,500 candidates have been shortlisted for its final screening out of the over 1.4 million who initially applied for the job.

Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi speaking at a news conference on Friday at the Corps Headquarters in Abuja said the final screening of credentials and physical fitness test will be done via SMS from 2nd to 25th of August 2021.

He urged all applicants to check the application portal from July 20 2021 for their names, screening location, guidelines and to print out their recruitment slip, adding that without these they would not be allowed for the screening.

He said, “Out of 53, 116 chosen to write the Computer Based Test CBT examination, 6, 500 candidates were shortlisted for the final screening out of which 5, 000 will be selected and employed

“We, therefore, wish to implore all candidates who sat for the CBT, that is 6,500 who have been invited for the physical screening that the final screening of credentials and physical fitness test will be via SMS from 2nd to 25th of August

Hope this won't take forever before they started inviting the final shortlisted after the screening. This one they want to use almost a month to do the screening. Immigration never do any yet now
