There is an urgent need to put a stop to the gross misconduct of officials of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Anambra State office situated at Amawbia.
Having escorted my cousin to the aforementioned office for her Jamb Regularization, a procedure to rectify anomalies associated with student’s admission in their respective institutions.
The process is fraught with immense corruption and student exploitation.
After paying the official mandatory fees of N5300 and N8800 depending on the category the student is applying for, the corrupt jamb staff still demands as high as N4000 to process their forms.
Before then they connive with the cybercafé directly opposite the office to pay another N4000 in other to obtain their payment transaction ID.
All in all a student who ought to pay N5300 officially ends up paying N13300.
In the same manner a student who ought to pay N8300 officially ends up paying N16300.
The excess are shared between the corrupt staff and the cybercafé operator directly opposite the jamb office.
Please spread this message and stop this barefaced corruption and wickedness.
