*How has the Igbo developed Lagos?*

Let us get the fact right, Igbo didn’t develop Lagos rather, it is Lagos that shaped and made the Igbo what they are today. Without Igbo in Lagos, Lagos will remain Lagos and without Lagos, most Igbo may likely be nothing.

Reason for my assertion is that most giant and top companies that attract millions of people across the country and the world at large to Lagos are not owned by the Igbo.

So, how have Igbo shaped and developed Lagos? These are the achievements and economic advancement Igbo brought to Lagos:

1. Tokunbo and fake spare parts at Ladipo Market.
2. China electronics and pirated CDs at Alaba Market.
3. Bend-down select clothes at Idumota, Yaba and Kotangowa Markets.
4. Chinese and tokunbo computer/phones and accessories at Computer Village Ikeja are Igbo economic achievements and contributions to Lagos.

The following companies are what attracted millions of people to Lagos as well as Apapa Industrial Estate, and Ilupeju Industrial Estate built by Awolowo.

In fact, most Igbo are causing nuisances in Lagos. The environments, the Igbo traders are mostly populated are always polluted with waste of all sorts. They are dirty, stinking, rough, erect illegal shops on the roads, on pipeline and railway lines indiscriminately in these market places that cause traffic gridlocks and other dangerous situations.

When the Lagos State Government dismantles these illegal shops, they get angry. The Igbo shouldn’t lay claim that they developed a place by becoming nuisances. In fact, most of the crimes in Lagos are connected to the Igbo.So, how has the Igbo developed Lagos when they can’t get their hands off crime?

Like you said, all the crime in the world are carried out by the Igbos, all Igbos are criminals, we have never contributed any thing to Lagos State, all we do is prostitution, Hawking, arm robbery etc, hope you are happy now, well if that makes you happy then we accept it. Well i will advice you to work on your life to be a better person, most of the Igbos you are insulting are not on nairaland, they are busy now trying to better their life and contribute to the society.
