Good day nairalanders, pls i need y'all to help me decide. Last 2years i got a split ac from a nairaland seller here at alaba market and it was a completely bad experience. I kept filling and refilling the gas till i got tired. All through out last year I didn't use the ac at all and now because of that i am scared to get a split one again.
I am seeing some standing AC, is that a good option since all the pipes are internally installed. Hope i won't experience any leakage issues or constant refilling of gas.

Help a brother pls.

The problem is not the Split AC per se. The problem is because you bought from a Nairalander, I had a similar experience from a NLnder until I discarded the AC and sold it as scrap to a repairman and bought another LG split unit, since then, No issue, with NEPA or GEN

I bought a new ac from same Alaba that worked for like 6 months. Afterwards, it has been one problem to another.
