Lets be honest, the anambra thread is full of fighting and insults and reposting of same pictures that we have seen a thousand times. That anambra thread should be only 300 pages if you delete all the nonsense going on there. Same with the imo state thread.

So I dont mind this thread being the way it is if people have no reasonable updates to post.

Aside the fighting and bickering, we can't deny that Anambra is progressive and it's reflective in the way that thread grows. Whenever I want to see anything new that is happening in Anambra, i go to that page. Mind you, it's not just because the government is doing so much but also because of projects embarked upon by individuals.

There's no gain saying that Ugwuanyi is the worst thing ever to happen to Enugu state and it's evident in the way this thread died a natural death and it happened very quickly.

Word!

Besides new projects, just managing the ones he met on ground is difficult for him!

Was watching a YouTube clip of a trip from Airport to Chime avenue, Enugu made just a few days ago by a real-estate agent based in Enugu, and i was furious at how unkempt and scruffy most of the environment looked! I noticed so many failed portions of the roads Chime admin’ constructed! Of course there were some nice parts, with well manicured grasses, but a large portion of the trip left much to be desired!

Nike Lake Resort Enugu.

This place really looks nice.

I don't know why the hotel is not well marketed and presented.

They can create boat carnival and rake in tons of money from visitors who are not hotel residents.

Government should try and hands off things like this. They should sell the place off to private entrepreneurs.

Image making a deal with Protea or Hilton group to manage the place.

The place will be turned around to an international 5 star hotel.

LION BUSINESS PARK ENUGU Under Construction. Located at 9th Mile Corner Free Trade Zone, this will be a game changer in Enugu state and indeed the whole Southeast when completed for its a Public Private Partnership mega Project situated on 2000 Hectares of Land. It will consist of Bonded Terminals for large volume cargoes, industries both medium and Large scale, warehouses, Residential Estates, Hotels, shopping malls, Cinemas, coal powered electric Power plant, ICT Hubs etc.

This will boost the Economic strength of Enugu state and create thousands of both direct and indirect jobs, this will become one if not the major Legacy of Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for attracting this mega project to Enugu state.

This is massive!! The more industrial clusters we have in the South-East, the greater the incentive for Igbo youths living in Igbo land to want to remain there.

When the Ibaka Deep Seaport comes on stream, and the Enugu airport international terminal is completed, the exodus to Lagos or Abuja would even decline more.

you are very right although individuals are really trying their best to bring those areas into light but the government seems to be waiting for the next administration

Is the university even necessary since it will be another mushroom university, nothing is going to be spectacular about it. There is already UNN in Nsukka plus other numerous private universities in Enugu state.

It would have been better if he expanded his factory in emene or even open another company in Nsukka since Nsukka don't have much factories apart from banks and hotels.

Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu

 Share

The Akanu Ibiam Internation Airport, Enugu is scheduled to reopen for international flights beginning from August 2021

Njenje Media in a report quoted the chairman of South-East Governors Committee on AKanu Ibiam Airport Rehabilitation and Palliatives Monitoring Team, Chief Engineer Okoye as confirming that all is set for Airlines to resume International operations.

Recall that the Akanu Ibiam International Airport has been shutdown for International travels for two years. Though, the Airport resumed local flights in August 2020.

There are also strong indications that more Airlines will join in operating the Enugu route before the end of the year. As of today, Ethiopian Airlines remain the only international Airline that flew into Enugu before its closure for runway repairs in 2019.

With this news, international travellers are gearing up to resume their trip through their preferred airport.

It is being awaited that the relevant authorities will soon make an official public announcement and issue NOTAM as to the exact date in August for the resumption of the flight, Njenje Media added in the report

it's one of the funny but foolish mentality many people have in igboland just because nsukka is referred to as a University town doesn't mean it is the only kind of investment that should be made there just like owerri, people refer to it as obodo oringo so the people decided that the only major investment they will be making will be in hotel and club
