mrvitalis:It won't be possible for now and they won't approve it. But regionalism is better as no region will not use another region resources without buying it. SW won't use SE gas without buying it. All the income via SW Border and port authorities won't be shared to other region. Etc. |

Jerryherd:And after about 2-5years, they will overcome their economic problems. 1) Every State will start to look inwards to see what they can sell to outsiders (other Nigerians and foreign countries) to make money. 2) Those presently producing Yams will triple the prices of Yams, those producing cocoa and Timber will start large scale cocoa & Timber plantations. 3) Zamfara and Osun States will start active gold mining companies that will be like their own NNPC. |

Kyase:Farming is not just for food production. Significant portion of Benue State can be converted into Sugarcan and cotton plantations for production of sugar, cotton, cotton seed oil and so many bye-productuons used in the pharmaceutical industries. |

Omoluabi1stborn:These Nigerians, how they reason, but there won’t be states under a regional system of government? States will have to give up their sovereignty to create the regional Government. |

Kyase:One of the reasons why it appears difficult to do is because there's cheap alternative source of funding Benue State- Federal Allocation. More often than not, we can do better than we assume is our limits if we are pushed to the wall. I operate a fish farm in a remote village and we usually buy manufactured fish feeds from the nearest major city. There was a time that we couldn't get the feeds from the city for a while but the fish had to be fed. I then devised a method to make my own feeds in that village by using locally available resources- corn, cassava peels, soya beans, groundnuts, dried meat from the North (Tinko), cat Fish offals from local pepper soup operators all grinded together and mixed with cow dung, parboiled and sun dried. It produced an excellent fish feeds that I started looking for someone to help in preparing it regularly. |

favor914:Ortom won't be in power forever. With full Federalism, too much pressure will be on the Governors to perform without excuses such that with time only those who can solve the problems will be having the courage to seek to be elected. |

oyatz:Great idea but the issue here is leadership We have a lot to be generate enough income but damn, it seems I’m the only good leader Benue will have. Funny thing is ehn The idoma can do better in leadership than the tiv but I don’t think they can ever become governor unfortunately |
