What's your camp experience in akwa ibom?
What's the conditions of the hostel and how feasible is the state to Corpers?
The student is going from ibadan, what's the travel like and I will be glad if I can get experience from anyone who served their!

It's a very good state to serve overall.
The camp is lovely
The hostels are nice if you arrive early and get one of those rooms but if you're lucky to get a place in the hall,it is often crowded but interesting save for the heat at night.
I went from Ibadan too.Took an AKTC bus at Samonda,UI ,PMT also travels down there
Shouldn't be more than 12 to 14 hours depending on how fast the bus and driver is, traffic esp at Onitsha headbidge and the amount of stops or breaks you take on the way.
Nice people generally.
But you'll love it more if you get posted to Uyo town.
You can ask some other specific questions if you have.

Please how is the Awka Ibom in terms of cost of living? I want to know if cost of living there is on the low side, especially Foodstuffs. Am wondering if one can make good savings while serving over there.

Don't be deceived. If you are a male. The hostel is a upgraded kirikiri prison with flat mattress. I stayed in monday uko while I was there. It is surrounded by bush and a snake was even killed in the room I stayed. The hostel is usually hot at night that you will find it hard to sleep but since everywhere is cold now. That wont be a problem. Akwa ibom nysc camp officials are generally rude and hostile. The people in mami are only after your money esp the photographers and the shoe maker under the shield where SAED shop is located. The shoe maker stole a shoe and lied that it was stolen by somewhere else. Avoid making full payment to the photographers before collecting your picture. They wont print most of it and wont refund your money. . Unless things have change now. I can't say.
Once akwa ibom people know that you are a corper.they will sell #10 water for you at #50. To me Houses there are averagely cheap and not that expensive as per abuja rent that I'm used to . Since you will be posted to school. You shouldnt have a prob with accommodation. If you did not study nursing or medicine. You are going to school .99% of corpers in akwa ibom are posted to school and they dont pay corpers. The 5k they promise u guys. They will never pay you. And even if they pay. Maybe it will be twice in 12months that you are spending there . I hope i have answered all your questions. Ask if you still have more

Chi chi u won't save. The state is so expensive. Everything here is on the high side. Everything..
