At the base, the first thing a goverment must be able to provide to her people is security of lives and property! A government might not be able to build super highways or flashy airports, but atleast it should be able to provide a well trained police department capable of protecting Iives and property. Any government that fails so abysmally on this, should be chased out and the leaders prosecuted. Buhari has failed, abysmally too! All of you that support this evil regime for the crumbs they feed you are the biggest enemies of the Nigerian people. And you have blood in your hands...
The cheapest thing a nation can afford is security
Any government that fails on that must remain failure

Security is a basic necessity in life and so what caused the hike in food prices, first of all, is insecurity.
The second is climate change, while farmers and herders’ clashes, which is part of insecurity, is the next concerned.
And if you cannot produce, if you can’t move to the farm, if you can’t have access or convey inputs from one location to the other, it makes it difficult for us to grow our commodities.”
Something urgent must be done concerning this NOW.
A BETTER Nigeria is all we want.
Desperate Times Call for desperate Measures

We Rise.

Farmers and Herders are not clashing.

Farmers properties have been invaded by Fulanis herders and the Buhari government has refused to act accordingly. The destruction of farmers property has ultimately led to Nigeria food insecurity.

Hunger has always been the reason why countries revolt from the French revolution to the Russian revolution and the recent Arab spring.

Any leader that fails to manage Nigeria fragile unity will ultimately manage Nigeria disunity. Buhari has failed to manage the country diversity, I doubt Nigeria will make it to 2023.

Thank God for my subsistence farming. I am about to harvest first batch of maize from the produce of my farm. Groundnut to follow suit and in early September l will be planting honey beans. So by December, l will be harvesting more than 100 tubers of yam, more than a bag of beans and not leaving the sweet potatoes Ooooh. Farming pays. Invest in farming either small or big.

You are probably still being fed by your parent. The country is gradually bringing down the middle class below poverty line, and you are here talking as if these set of unfortunate leaders did not affects everyone.

Nigeria need mechanized farming at point to rescue us from impending serious famine we may witness next year. Federal Government should as a matter of urgency allow massive importation of RICE and CORNS for poultry sector, which serves as a stable food for an average Nigerian family. If the price of rice come down, people will eat more of rice, which will definitely lead to decline in the price of BEANS,YAM,GARRI, etc in the market.

He is right, we deserve what we get.

When it comes to standing up to our corrupt leaders we fight ourselves over mundane issues like ethnicity and religion.

If things will normalize in the u.s like you point out. It will definitely normalize in Nigerian. You cannot act that whatever indices you use as measurement for American inflation are not all that accurate. The most accurate is the covid which was globbal phenomenon. Prior to the American was in the green. In every economy there are good times and they are bad summarily Some bad are sustained over a long stretch so are some good. You seem to be more assuredly and over optimistic over the American economy situations. What make you so sure it will normalize after a few short while. If you believe it will then best believe Nigerian economy as well will normalize all things considered.

You make all sought soughts of argument why Nigeria will implode and with good reasons. But never the west. What makes you think their civilization is not on the verge.

the difference is clear, crystal clear even for the blind. None of this could be said about Nigeria's weak economy. However, i would love if you stay on topic and stop deviating.
