So when the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob appeared to Moses the old man felt he's too old for that task so he began looking for excuses to free himself but noteworthy is the question about the name this God wants him to present before Pharaoh (the world's most powerful ruler of that time)

He is about to go with Moses down to Egypt and demand for the release of millions of people who were serving as slaves (an investment in those days) from the world's most powerful King without paying Pharaoh anything in return, and guess what Jehovah is not going to Egypt with an army, even Moses Jehovah's representative is a feeble octogenarian! So how possible is that?

After the event in the Garden of Eden Satan wanted to erase God's name from the heart of all humans so he quickly initiated other spirit sons of God who later became Gods in most places on earth and they began gathering worshipers to themselves!

So when God brought the Israelites out of Egypt he began referring to them as his own people {Exodus 19:5} they are to preserve His holy name throughout mankind's history. So Satan keep raising enemies against this people to wipe them out. Therefore whenever you read about Jehovah fighting against the enemies of Israel in a supernatural way He wasn't partial rather He was fighting for His holy name. Little David was able to face and killed mighty Goliath because David came in the name of JEHOVAH! 1Samuel 17:45
Jesus laid emphasis on the importance of His father's name in many occasions {Matthew 6:9; John 17:6,26} but Satan has already secured agents amongst the Jews {John 8:44} they killed all Jesus' followers and stopped using God's name. Their intention was to prevent the common people from using God's name in an unworthily manner {Exodus 20:7} and by the end giving Satan a helping hand to erase God's name!
So during the translation of the Bible after the dead of Jesus' faithful Apostles Satan initiated and supported the translation team who replaced God's name with titles like GOD and LORD. That's why the name of God is no more found in most Bibles today!

Jesus foretold that during the endtime he will come back to restructure his group, though the faith he laid down would have been disrupted by Satan and his agents but he will meet a group that will be ready to work with him! Luke 18:8; Matthew 24:45

If you carefully check your Bible now you will see how Satan shot himself in the foot @ Psalms 110:1

Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.” New Word Translation (JW Bible)

Compare to

"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool" KJV

The first used the divine name while the second used the title that was used to replace God's name!

Of course when we read both in the hears of a listener there's no way we can make the listener understand the second one, but all listeners will know that David prophetically talked about two persons who are greater than himself. One has a name but the other hasn't gotten any unique name!

JEHOVAH is not the real pronunciation of the ancient Bible because the letter "J" doesn't appear in the Hebrew writings rather it's letter "Y" that was used for all those names so names like Jacob, Joshua, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Judah, John even Jesus has been transliterated!

If God's name has been lost then why use Jehovah today?

JEHOVAH became a perfect transliteration of the divine name just as Jacob, Joshua, Jona, Job, Jonathan, John, Jesus and James also became perfect transliteration.

So over the centuries the transliteration has been in use but when most people discovered it was a transliteration they prefer to render it as LORD or GOD.

Though the original pronunciation is lost but since we make use of other transliterated names Jehovah's Witnesses prefer to use the name JEHOVAH to show a name that's supposed to fill that gap and not a title like God or Lord.

It helps to make the narrations clearer when a name of fixed where it supposed to be rather than a title.
For instance @ Psalms 110:1 we read

Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet!

We can choose the translation that makes sense most to us!

According to the first book of the Bible God was not alone during the time of creation He had someone beside Him {Proverbs 8:30 compare to Genesis 1:26} nobody knew who the master craftman working beside God from the beginning not until wise king Solomon was inspired to write how Jehovah began the work of creation! Proverbs 8:22-30

Solomon's inspiration revealed that someone was beside Jehovah all through but this person was God's first creation so in harmony with Solomon's inspiration Apostles Peter and Paul also revealed some sacred secrets regarding the one who was with God in the beginning! John 1:1-2; Colossians 1:15-16

In the Bible only spirit creatures live with God in heaven and this creatures are known as angels meaning (messengers) so if we think deeply over the first few sentences that began the Bible we will grasp the correlation between the one giving orders to another person acting on the orders! Genesis 1:3-26

Jehovah has many spirit sons (angels) in the spirit realms (heaven) {Job 38:7} but He only revealed the name of two angels in His word (Bible) they are Michael and Gabriel {Daniel 8:11; 9:21 & 12:1} this two are the only angels whose names were mentioned.

According to God's word Michael is the one and only angel who always stand to support faithful servants of God. And if we carefully meditate on what Solomon penned down @ Proverbs 8:30-31 there revealed why Michael is always doing so:

Then I was by (God), as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men! KJV

From the above statement we can see why Michael feel so much for faithful servants of His heavenly Father. So if someone should as you "who was the fourth man standing in the fairy furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego?" {Daniel 3:24-25} surely that was Michael and you can discern why he's always doing that! Proverbs 8:30-31

There are so many cases where Michael often comes in in support of God's faithful servants for instance: he was the angel who led the Israelites to safety {Exodus 14:19} if you read what God's word said before then you will see that this angel was actually representing God in action! Exodus 13:21

So when it's time to send someone who will come and deliver humans from Adamic sin, all the angels in heaven were silent but Michael stood up before all of them and said "here i am, send me" {Isaiah 6:8} this may seem like something happening on earth since it's a prophet of God that wrote it and he also delivered God's message before the Israelites.
But it was much later when Jesus of Nazareth confirmed that Isaiah was actually saying what was happening in heaven when he (Jesus) stood up for the salvation of mankind! Luke 4:16-21

Could this mean that Jesus is the same Archangel Michael?
