UNIZIK Student Beaten By Lecturer For Not Wearing Ankara Dress (Photo, Video)

A viral video captured injury allegedly inflicted on the body of a female student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka by a male lecturer who assaulted her for not wearing Ankara dress to the school hall, IgbereTV reports.

The video shared on Instagram was captioned;

"They have killed us in economics department #Unizik oooo... How many suffer wey we go suffer for this school?
Why and where on earth is it ethical to hit a student at all? Not to talk of to this extent... It was a male lecturer of Unizik that did this...

People do go beyond their boundaries, even 18 years old child, one should have stopped beating him or her with cain not to talk of university's student. I think there are several ways to deal with stubborn students that would be severe than cain. Afterall, I don't think she had committed any offences by not wearing native dress.

This is what happens when the university is now being flooded with kids and teenagers.
If it were in those days when the University only admitted mature adults, the lecturer wouldn't have tried this. The student too would have been sensible enough not to break the schools rules and regulations.

If majority of the student behave like secondary school kids, lecturers will begin to behave like secondary school teachers.

I recall in my school days, I had gone to submit a paper and the lecturer asked me to go wash his food plate and buy him food from the store, and Ideclined humbly telling him I have library sessions, he broke into a feat of rage, I held my ground letting him know that his own son is in the UK studying for a degree not washing plates of lecturers .
