She is stupid by sniffing into what is not her business.
Lawd!
I wonder what this world is turning to.
You mean as an Igbo elder, Onyeka Onwenu can not openly address an issue that has to do with the value system of Igbos without miscreants calling her out?
What the hell is wrong with some Igbos?
After destroying your elites, you'd turn around to cry that they are not there for you when you find yourself in trouble.

I stand with Onyeka 100%. In fact if I see her I will shower her encomiums. Igbo proverb says, "an elder can't just sit down staring while the pregnant goat give birth in tethers". Igbos where is our moral values? What nonsense did I read about exclusiveness of few towns in Anambra. Who thinks wickedly in that way?

What do Onyeka Onwenu know about Anambra and Igbo Culture?

Most times I am of the opinion that people should learn to mind their business instead of messing themselves up or speaking out of Ignorance.

Onyeka Onwenu is from Imo state and from facts gathered their burials is usually a day and much without any hullabaloo.

Obi Cubana is from Anambra state and in history of the state they don't joke or play with the departure of their loved ones. They always give their departed ones proper and befitting burial and that's the ANAMBRA CULTURE I came to find out about their burial ceremony.

What happened at Obi Cubana's mother burial is applicable to all burial in that state both high and low ones, known and unknown ones. It has always been their tradition there to entertain and even spray money to the family of the disease as they constantly receive friends who has come in one way or the other to show their sympathy.

Onwenu should have known that about Anambra culture before running to media to mess herself up. I am of the opinion that people should ask questions before talking or condemning

“Family of the disease’

Inukwa disease.

Anambra and Imo are related by blood. Onyeka is from Arozuogu which is very close to Nnewi

This OP is daft and dumb, to say the least. Burial in all of Igbo land is the same and depends on how you want to do yours. One day, two days, and so on, depends on your pocket and taste. Secondly, Onyeka Onwenu's mother is from Anambra state. Some of you are bigots that keep on bringing division in Igboland.
Fat lie, burials aren't same in Igboland. Anambra I witnessed has their own pattern and different culture.

Yawns!
What is "Anambra culture" and what is "Imo State culture"? Who created Anambra state and who invented Imo State? Where are the boundaries? Some of you that claim to come from Anambra are just fool of it. .
The fact is that these outlandish funerals are new cultural realities in the East and like most other new cultural traits, certain clans in Anambra helped popularize that. You can't say it has been there all along. But you can say that Anambra traders helped popularize that in recent years. Certain folks in other areas of Igboland will follow suit. Others will not..
Honestly, this Anambra and the rest of them controversy is irritatingly stoopid!
Anambra has her own distinct culture and pattern of doing things totally different from the rest of other states. The Anambra culture is generally different from the rest of Igbos.

If you have been taught simple hacks and etiquettes, you shouldn't have been here disgracing your ancestors.

It's people like you brainless lots that make people think Igbos don't love theirselves and not united.

You are quick to point out that "Onwenu is from Imo and doesn't know anything about Anambra and Igbo culture", weldone the custodian of Igbo custom undecided undecided

Any idiot can sleep, wake up and decide to drag his/her ancestors because he can afford android phone and mobile data.
But onwenu is from Imo state and cubana Anambra and both have their various cultures.

Shallowness makes you think that once Onyeka Onwenu is from Imo she could not have been better from somewhere else and even know more. Onyeka's mother is from the Nwokolo family of Obosi, a neighbour to Oba, by the way. Onyeka had a lot of time and connection with Obosi and that is not a fact hidden. If care is not taken, she, just like most children is even more connected to Obosi of his mother than Arondizogu of his father.

That said, anyone, including Mongo Park from wherever he came from, might know a land more than the people who supposedly are from there. I have cousins, who grew up in Jos, that knows nothing about Obosi. Meanwhile I have Yorubas, who went to school with me in Obosi, that it would only take their names or you being told, to know that Adeniyi and Akinrotimi are not from Obosi. So get that wide in thought.

Alright. So going by your logic, MNK's issue has nothing to do with people from other states in Igboland apart from Abia, right?
In fact, he should focus on liberating people from Abia state from Nigeria instead of the whole of Southeast, right? Since he is from Abia and has nothing to do with other Igbos?
Furthermore, there should be nothing like an Igbo presidency; rather, it ought to be a president from Abia or Anambra, right?
You see, the way some of you reason makes one want to puke.
