Lol... I believe our two Cb pairing is Gabriel and White, while Holding and Mari are deputies.

You see me, na that attack and Am dey vex me cos I know the leverage of poor start last season can't happen this season, so depending on only ESR for Am and that attack that needs new injection, It means we're on a long thing.

Sha... TW never finish. Make we just dey watch grin grin
bar Saka, we dont have any quality wingers especially the one that can play LW.

Unai emery only needed financial backing from the club but the board failed him, now the same board is giving that money miss road manager all the financial backing he needs but the coach dey losegaurd

I swear, aside saka no quality winger. Auba is fading, so no even quality 9 too(we can't grade balogun for now). It means, all our front line na "so help me God"

This season go long sha, if our TW ends with White.

Lol, seems the board have learnt their lesson, but they're now investing in wrong hands. I really hope Arteta turns this club around but the signs being given no dey give person hope at all

Why is everybody speaking like we just ended last season today and realizing our problems? What is with the sudden panic and elevated levels of concern in August with 2 weeks to the start of a new season? We have known the issues associated with this team especially as it relates to coaching, tactics, player selection and management since last year!

Knowing Partey's history with injuries and with 2 weeks to the start of the season, did he need to play all 3 friendlies (Hibs/ Rangers/ Chelsea)? Now he has injured his ankle, pretty similar to what happened last season when we mismanaged his hamstring, forced him back too quick only for him to reinjure it and stay longer away from action.

If you guys are not tired, I am! I don't care what anyone thinks, Arteta needs to leave this team. We are not going anywhere with him. Just take look at how we have horrendously mismanaged our transfer business! isn't this similar to what happened last season? Start the season with an overbloated squad, blocking transfer of players that are surplus and have no future with the team while failing to address the weakness of the team!

I will go into the season supporting my Arsenal, I can never root against my Arsenal because of Arteta, it will never happen. I was at Arsenal before he even laced a boot for us and I will be here when he leaves. I will support my Arsenal 100% but God knows I want Arteta out and will not stop until he proves me wrong.

Sorry

Baba it is very frustrating and annoying. It took a lot of personal convincing for me to renew my annual membership this upcoming season! I am sick, tired, frustrated and upset.

I read people giving Arteta time and projecting mediocrity for the upcoming season and I am asking if it is the same Arsenal we are watching. Outside of player investments, I have seen my Arsenal deteriorate with absolutely no reprieve in near sight! yet people want to blame everyone but Arteta. We finished 10th 2 seasons ago, last season flirted with relegation and finished 8th yet we need to hand this man more investments?

You are welcome to troll this comment but it is coming from a part of pain.

Na the bolded dey pain me be that. We have all the time in the world to phase players out, bring in players that are needed and loan players, but nahh... We still carry overbloated squad AGAIN!! Same situation as last season, same situation without buying an Am or strengthening attack. And I thought they've learnt sef. Mehn, it's painful.

Last season, wolves wanted to buy Amn, we refused, only not to use him, then loan him out for lack of playing opportunities.

This season Newcastle is begging for Willock,(and he wants to go too), yet arsenal still don't want to sell. Watch As he'll be starved of game time again, while maybe loaning him to another club come January.

Same thing same thing.
I just pity us this season sha embarassed embarassed

A serious Football club would have gotten a quality LW, AM and CM coming into this season.

Just 3 signings will give me hope with this team, instead Arterta activated and reinvested in his BloCking Industry business by blocking the Xhakas et al.

You want to trust Saka and ESR against the men in England for 38 games?..

Well, we full ground to troll this year again

I think we will get there gradually. The scoreline should have been a draw...but it doesn't matter now but it will matter when the season starts and referees keep making wrong calls against us.

We all know the problems long before now and I think the management know the problems too... but solutions to these problems are not quick fixes. We don't just need any players but quality players that will improve the team, these players cost a deal and even when the money is available to get quality players, we need the quality player to agree to come to Emirates... Unfortunately we are not playing in Europe so we have not much to attract the best. And I don't believe in bringing just any player that will not add value to us.

So far we have seen the qualities of the three new additions and I think they are worth getting. Bellerin look rusty, but I think he is better than his display today. Leno is still making silly mistakes. Auba is not fully back to what we know of him, but if his sharpness/improvement in the last 2 friendly continues... we might soon be getting goals again from him.

I see the wisdom in keeping Willock till we get another AM. He looked sharp today, so in case we dont get Odegaard or any other good AM, we have to manage with Willock and hope for the best.

We are not there yet, but for the love I have for Arsenal like you, I am hopeful and want to be positive we will get better especially when Saka and Martinelli finally resume.

Auba that I was agitating for his sale since 2018 has finally confirmed my fears of becoming the new Ozil.

You can't profit from his sale nor game again.

Xhaka with his euro performance against France scammed lots into thinking him as a LANS.

Same old...same old...

Don't forget Aston Villa has signed Bailey and Beundia o.
Its gona be another loong season.

This is what you get when you hire two novice to head your organization

Truth be told, arsenal board really goffed in appointing arteta as a coach, I have never heard of a big organization handing over it affairs to a novice with zero experience.

But what's more shocking is that they are still backing him with more funds, money that they could have reserved for a top coach like conte

I saw your post above and that's the kind of mentality they know me for. I am always optimistic and believe in giving people the benefit of doubt- the chance to fail first before devaluation.

One fact is that Arteta will manage the team in the coming season. This is something we cannot change, neither should we wish him to fail, but rather pray and support him.

The decisions to spend a whopping 50m for a defender instead of an AM is surprising, but they are the professionals and would be held accountable by those who bankroll the club. I also believe that keeping the likes of Willock can go either way of a breakout season or a disaster, but then we should let them decide and judge after.

That said, Arteta has been disappointing so far; and I believe the board should sack him if by October we are not within competitive level for the top four.

I totally agree with you. Let's see how things turn out 1st. If the results are poor by GW 8-10... I will join everyone to call for his sack everywhere... But for the love I have for the club I pray he gets the messages, find the right solutions and succeed.

What if it was predetermined just to weaken a potential rival? Partey was our best player on the pitch and a major cog in the engine. They might have just taken the season from us.

Maybe RLC wanted to prove a point to Tuchel that he still have what it takes to be in Chelsea squad, that's why he went aggressively. But saying that injury was predetermined to take out a potential rival... Lol
