For those of you wondering why our customs is stopping elephant tusks...Nigeria is a signatory to something called CITES....which prevents the trade in endangered species and their byproducts. Not following CITES can lead to sanctions. For more info see here |

a photo of the kingpin on the run would greatly help.... even though wearing a mask due to covid situation makes it difficult to recognize people Penguin2:pangolin scales etc are used for traditional chinese medicine and these people love it, as for elephant tusks, because its so rare, the price shoots through the roof... have you seen the price of IVORY lately??!!? you can actually get ivory from different other animals too (hippo, walruses, warthogs, some whales etc) but Ivory from elephant tusk is the most valued one. |
