The last prayer of these Kano elders are in order: the prayer is that any Nigerian group which wants to exit Nigeria be allowed to have a referendum before amendment to the 1999 constitution.

Their talk that IPOB is a violent group is the usual TAQQIYA.

IPOB is not a secessionist group. Biafra (as a country) existed before Nigeria, so the Eastern part of Nigeria is trying to restore their old nation: Biafra.
