Most UK schools have closed their admission portals. It is likely that most of us will have to defer our offers till next year.

Smile. I had several admissions too and even deferred. But one or two of those schools that I applied to have pulled down the offers so that there will be space for other students.

I don't think you can process everything perfectly now since some schools resume in September. I am so certain that a lot of people will defer their admissions till next year.

Please sorry if may sound this way, but I thought PTDF would get admission for those qualified, or do we start now to process the admission on our own in anticipation of winning the scholarship?

PTDF doesn't get admission for you. You do that on your own prior to winning the Scholarship. That's one of the things that made me to still be in Nigeria. If I had gotten admission in France or Malaysia, would have left under the sponsorship. I have admission in China but the Chinese Borders and Embassies are open to limited set of Countries like S. Korea, Taiwan etc.

So you're waiting to get the scholarship award before securing your admission. A number of us got our admissions since last year, 2020 and even had to defer the admissions to this year, 2021. Thank you.

I just want to know the kind of leeway the allow to change school or courses when you're given the scholarship. Can you go from petrochemical to just chemical engineering? can you go from newcastle to say london or vice versa. Or do you 100% have to go to the school you were offered or one of your three choices.

You can do anything you like provided it's within the country.

It becomes complicated when you are changing country.

You can study whatever you like.

I got for Physics and I ended up studying Nuclear Engineering in a different school.

Closed till date. They hope to open next year or start of second semester for 2021/2022 Academic session.

@Tielemans. Yes! It has to be PTDF approved School within the Country.
@Felixbrown124. You can change Country from that China to either France or Malaysia but you can't change to UK.
You can't change from that China to Germany because prospective German Scholars, must register with DAAD.

Sorry if i'm being too meticulous, but if i'm getting what you guys are saying correctly, it has to be a PTDF approved school within the country but you can choose basically any course you want, whether its listed by PTDF or not? Thank you for responding.

@Tielemans, go with the above. That's the safest and wisest thing to do in this circumstance.

Remember, unfortunately some persons are more equal than others in UAR.

Yes I kind of figured. But at this point admission wise you have limited options. As far as the approved courses at approved schools, not all of them are still offering admissions and most of them aren't really exciting to me. I'm just trying to know the constraints before committing myself to which of these schools to apply for because you can't apply for every school, especially those that require academic references. You can't expect someone to write references for a dozen schools for you. I want to see what is feasible and then commit myself to the best options.

I'm not sure what UAR is but as far as inequality, trust me, as long as it's possible for other candidates, trust that it's possible for you, all depends on your approach. That's not really something that concerns me.
