now I get the connection between S. Korea Israel and Jewish studies. The people who were in Israel during the establishment of the stat felt the same way. And almost every Jewish child around the world has gotten the same message about the only dependable asset is your mind. Israel has seen a similar amazing growth. And Jews like Koreans around the world are per capita more academically successful the most groups of people due to being brought with similar messages from there parents.

The development of South Korea within the period of 80 years was propelled by the successful establishment of their steel mining and processing industry.

Fact is, Nigeria and South Korea were perfect competitors as the Itakpe minning and processing plant in Kogi state (which has gulped over 20 billion dollars since it was first established) was constructed a year before that of south Korea.

While the construction of the plant in Korea was successful and put Korea on the path way of rapid development, Nigeria plant on the other hand was mared with insane corruption by our leaders and fully buried by the British and her Western friends that believed it is unreasonable for a country so blessed like Nigeria to have a working steel processing plant.

One of English representatives 9 months into the construction of the Itakpe steel plant, stood up in front of his colleagues and in the presence of their then prime minister (who made a visit to the legislative house) and said; 'This black country with a fertile land and all available resources known, now having a working steel plant and raw material beside will Jeopardize our interest in the world political and economic Arena. Thus must be frustrated with sanctions and agreement to halt the construction of the plant. We [British) will always be around to purchase their resources in raw form".

There is one thing which Steel production aids and brings to a nation which many other resources could not. Technology advantage is one. Check the list of top 5 steel exporting nations and you will discover only India among them is lacking in development. Look at China, look at Japan, they do not have to import this important material. They have it and they can process it, so what they need next is how to turn it into money which they eventually did.

In fact, the development of south Korea was majorly as a result of that single successful establishment of their steel industry. They established it and rubbished the whole world with their Gadgets that marveled everyone and in turn gave Britain more reasons to frustrate a another of such from seeing success.

Man, so many vested interest in this contraption that are always ready to make sure things don't work and anyone who tries to make it work will be weeded out.

You are correct. Development in the 20th century was largely based on the steel industry. Nigeria really messed up. Ajaokuta steel would have made Nigeria very rich and would have helped even northern Nigeria.

But now it's mainly about ICT.
But can we actually say India is undeveloped?

Depressing propaganda, and education

During the massive industrialization in South Korea schools would repeat “Our country doesn’t have natural resources. So what does that mean?” and the kids would reply “We have to study”, and the teachers would say “The human mind is the best recourse” or something like that.

South Korea quite literally had nothing after the war. We had no building left, we had no money left. But what we did have was a lot of people. With this parents made their children study for hours for a better future than themselves.

Exporting meant everything for the Korean economy. Since we had absolutely no natural material to gain money from, we used the American aid and began building factories and started importing materials from foreign nations. As this happened we would export as much as we could.

South Korea’s development also largely has to do with nationalism. The people would do everything for the country as if it was their own son. During the IMF crisis in Asia South Korea was hit extremely hard, yet was able to recover in such little time. A lot has to do with the people. During that period the South Korean government asked the people for gold to pay off the debt. Surprisingly the people actually did listen, people would line up with their marriage rings and other important gold assets and just give them to the government.

Its an economic miracle for South Korea, now with all this said, I would like to add i am NOT a professional economist. So thats mean I might be incorrect in my statement.
