Goodevening all! Pls how should one treat online mobile apps that give people loan and it happened that the person slightly defaulted. In less than a week, they started sending different messages through WhatsApp to all his contacts saying he is a serial loan defaulter who ran away with company's money and that police are looking for him, his picture would be displayed on their Facebook, and if anybody need his pix, he or she should request for it. They included his phone number in the message. What they are doing is similar to name and shame which I don't know if our law allows it. Pls people with appropriate knowledge/Experience should assist

Nothing like " he slightly defaulted "

An agreement is an agreement.

If there were jail terms attached with a fine double to the loan collected...I am sure "slight defaults" would drastically reduce.

Don't borrow what you can't return.

Better still.... avoid borrowing totally.

I don't get this "an agreement is an agreement". The agreement could be that he would be reported to the credit bureau not that his character would be painted black. The loan company didn't stick to their agreement

my dear I regret taking the loan o. Imagine taking loan from few apps to raise 50k to solve an urgent need. Now the debt has multiplied to almost 300k. And I'm still breathing. God will help us.

Next time, try the people around you: family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, etc. Just don't mind what their response will be and don't be too full of pride to ask for help.
Two: you could try your online friends as well.

Still wrong in my opinion. A grace period should be given to the defaulters. If every customer stop borrowing from them because of the way they are disgracing their defaulted customers within 24 hours of defaulting, wouldn't they go out of business? I blame people borrowing from them with that very high interest rate!

I like their kind of medicine! It fits thieves in Nigeria.. Go pay them! Did you read their terms and conditions before using their services.. You that is a Nigerian has a way of hurting your brother but they have a way of shaming you which is even worse than the money you loaned from them. Lastly, you will pay the money!

Omo na them sabi, everyone know say the country hard, but for these loaners they're evil. God forbid. Like this eh, I no dey pay shishii ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜. Rubbish people๐Ÿ˜‚.if you are still worried about them or what they will do to you if you're owing them, sorry oooo ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ, that's to your own detriment. Do not mind whatever messages or threats they send to you daily. Most of these loaners are fast killers, crooks, life hunters and real time scammers. Like this eh....... Am owing about.... of them๐Ÿ˜Œ, but I no dey pay shishii ๐Ÿ˜’ it's over 2 year now since they were overdue and none of them were able to call or send messages to my contacts and post my pictures anywhere. They are even tired of calling ๐Ÿ˜. If you wish to know how to get rid of them from gaining access and how to clear your contacts and data from their database send me a DM on WhatsApp @09151977310. But if you're one of their agents don't disguise cos I will know๐Ÿ˜. Nonsense people.๐Ÿคฃ
