The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council, Mrs Yewande Sadiku, has been arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged monumental fraud.

The technocrat, who arrived at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency at about 11am, on Monday, August 9, 2021, is being grilled by a team of operatives of the Commission over wide ranging corruption issues.

A source familiar with the investigation disclosed that the NIPC boss is being questioned for abuse of office, bordering largely on contract fraud running into several millions of Naira and a number of frivolous allowances.

As of the time of filling this report, she has spent over nine hours with her interrogators.

“She is cooperating and has volunteered statement but there is still a lot of grounds to be covered,” the source said.

When contacted, EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed her presence in the Commission but declined further comment.

While i agree with you, I detest selective Justice. It is quite unfortunate that Yewande is in this web. She was my former boss when i was in the bank years ago. A good woman.

I just wonder why EFCC is so swift in picking up selected people especially southerners. Amaechi who is super corrupt exposed the monumental corruption under the leadership of Aisha Ahmed. where is that case. Can you see how they have quietly eased her off with no trial.

Magu was indicted by the kangaroo panel they set up in the villa. Have you had of anything to try him, what of the grass cutter under Buhari.

Abba Kyari will follow due process because he is part of the cabal.

If it was one Olufemi or CHukwuemeka in police that committed a crime with Hushpuppi, he will be in U.S by now to prove that they are fighting corruption

Not much to write about as the heading stated it clearly, but one thing is certain - we wait for the goats to come here and dodge the topic and address how she is being haunted because she is southerner.

While you want to type rubbish as to how she is haunted because she is a southerner and not part of the cabal, remmeber she was selected for that position initially. No one came here to talk about how it was nepotism that got her the role but have the smelly mouth to claim its because of tribalism that her dirty linen is being brought out.

Politics is a dirty game and no one need to be reminded about that. But because of dumbness of few everything is about tribalism now.

Whoever is found wanting should face the music.

And what if she was framed up, so that a Fulani man or woman could step in as they did fowler of FIRS? Think about it. Even Mrs Adeosun who was accused of fake nysc certificate had been exonerated by the court. Even the same nysc who issued her an exemption letter first denied it when the boss was being threatened by foolanis, just because they wanted to replace her with a Fulani woman. Adeosun blocked a lot of reckless spending and needless loans during her tenure which foolanis weren't cool with.

The onus is on my yoruba people to think twice before taking any political jobs in this country because they'd end up messing up their integrity and their years of hardwork and trainings in reputable universities. Wetin concern foolanis with education?. Even okonjo iweala faced the Fulani heat but because the woman was untouchable, they left her alone. Fashola dealt with the accountant under the ministry of power who was linked to over 69 private cars and 15 massive buildings in choice locations in abuja by exposing him...another Fulani man. Instead of prosecuting him, they took the ministry away from fashola.

Except we break up from this mess, we will continue to be framed by these most corrupt people on earth called foolanis.

Since the current head of the NIPC who happens to be the first from the South was appointed, Yewande Sadiku has been embroiled in one legal tussle or the other since she assumed office as NIPC Executive Secretary. This is usually instigated by the usual quarters.

If you check the writer of the petition the Efcc is acting on, you will see that it will be from the usual suspects. They are pained that a Southerner occupies a position that has never been occupied by a Southerner.

This is the same thing they did to Mrs. Azinge of the Corporate Affairs Commission until she was hounded out of office. She was the first Registrar General of the Cac from the South in more than 2 decades.
