What is Twitter? I can’t even remember them. They certainly don’t matter in our lives. Let the twitter ban be permanent and in the Nigerian constitution. |

linearity:Haba, please just calm down and download Twitter financial reports and read but if you don't understand the technique of interpreting financial reports, just ask a finance person to read it and explain to you . More revenue does not mean you are now profitable and even the Twitter board is changing focus now to having a clean platform and investing in assets to help them reach more online audiences. I have these reports but will appreciate if you do the hardwork of getting true information too sir. It's good for you too. |

nzeobi:Facebook, Micrisoft , Google have offices in Nigeria and pay tax. Twitter can do so too. It's no big deal after all years of escaping tax payment despite the billions it earns from Nigeria |

How about the internet go to hell too... Natural and go to hell too... The programming languages used to code everything on the internet should go to hell too. Funny thing is a country like Nigeria that have never invented anything outside fraud, corruption, tribalism, religious fanaticism, evil, greed, hatred for progress, kidnapping, armed robbery, first class political thieves and goverment officials is telling a platform that have made money or provided jobs to hundreds of thousands of Nigerian's to go to hell. The sad part is una president go travel go the country of people when invent twitter for health care but ban you from using Twitter... Even monkeys and baboons dey laugh Nigeria. By the way breaking news is Nigeria is the headquarters of hell... So which hell are you referring to for twitter to go to? Hangmnk: |

FreeStuffsNG:So how much has Facebook and Nairaland paid as taxes since Twitter was banned if by your assertion they will be quaking in their boots. You guys are just dense upstairs. You cannot attract simple bricks and mortar businesses into Nigeria but are busy chasing industries that are as volatile as air. Does it not occur to you that it is easier to hold the wind in your hand than control cyberspace. Never seen such ignorant people given so much power. Well Nigeria today is the result. |

FreeStuffsNG:You can talk like this because your business does not need the service of Twitter, definitely you are of those benefitting from the quota system without having requisite under your belt to impact yourself with new innovations. While I want Twitter to yield to the FG demand to pay tax to the government coffer, but considering the attendant cost of denying those millions of creative Nigerians the opportunity to build something for themselves using the micro blogging, this is more like another brand of corruption being perpetrated on helpless Nigerians who try to help themselves despite the government by adopting new technologies but the government still constituting a roadblock on their path towards self reliance. All in all, the FG needs to look at the marginal benefits of banning Twitter compared to the costs, if the benefits outweigh the cost, definitely this ban is counterproductive on Nigeria. They might not see it so because the ban does not affect their business interests directly, their business is Nigeria and keeping the country as one, so they are protecting their own business while selfishly destroying millions of other businesses. Has this ban actually stopped the secessionist agitators from using the Twitter platform? NO! So why continuing with it? |
