If you noticed, the only thing I mentioned was English teams' RECENT dominance in the UCL, with more emphasis on the emboldened word. That was to counter your submission against their relevance in world stages. What does it take for a team to win the biggest competition in the land? Isn't it a group of world class players? You think Tuchel would win the UCL with a team like West Bromwich Albion? Bros reason am na.

It was not in context of Messi's destination. So don't bring that up here. Personally, I don't think Messi needs to prove himself elsewhere. I know he's very good at the game. He has played with different generations of players in Barcelona, but that never affected his abilities.

More so, your argument is one of the reasons I support the previously proposed ESL which was later cancelled. Let the top teams from different top leagues across Europe feature in a league of their own for at least one season, then we'll see which teams are really the best. I don't reckon the UCL as the determining factor of the best team in the continent. Make all of them okay eachother, make we see who go top league.
