SS- DR OKONJO IWEALA AND PROF PAT UTOMI

But to avoid wide speculations, 2 names stands out, The current VP YEMI OSINBAJO and the former governor of Anambra state Mr Peter Obi.

We all know their backgrounds and accomplishments so with support and objective criticism, which of these two fine gentlemen would make more impact in rebuilding the nation..

Peter Obi and Yemi Osinbajo are two experienced, educated and seemingly competent people. However, I will choose Peter Obi over Osinbajo because the latter appears to me as someone who can be easily suppressed (a weakling). He keeps quiet when it matters the most, even when his region is directly affected. On the other hand, Obi appears like a man who wants to bring about a paradigm shift - something he did and it worked in his home state.

As for the South South folks, please remove those two names because they are not experienced. Leadership is tough and it is even worse in Nigeria because you need to step on a lot of toes to fix this shithole. You should replace them with Chibuike Amaechi and Donald Duke.

I would appreciate if folks from Anambra could give us some insights into how Peter Obi performed as governor. I really like Osinbanjo he seems level headed and I would be comftable with him as president, but I would like to know more about Obi. I also like Amachi, is very tough and will not be a push over. Okonjo-Iwela is a technocrate not a politician. She has served her country well, it's now time for her to enjoy her international assignments. I don't rate Pat Utomi at all

Of course Obi's track records stand tall. What he did with Anambra state is talked about till tomorrow.

Obi is confident and fearless that he would get the job done without caring whose ox is gored.
This evident when he was removed and had to resort to the courts to be reinstated.


Osinbajo on the other hand is an intelligent technocrat, but appears to be timid. He could easily be puppet controlled. Imagine someone like him has not uttered a single word on the atrocities going on in this country.


So I think Osinbajo is under the strong influence of the north and would continue to serve the interest of the north because he wouldn't want to offend his Oga Buhari.

There is no gainsaying that Prof. Osibanjo is vast, experienced and well lettered. However, leading a heterogeneous and complex nation like ours needs more than those credentials mentioned above.

If Nigeria is to make any meaningful progress, we will need a fearless leader who has a good knowledge and understanding of governance and wealth creation.

Prof Osibanjo may not have faired well as a fearless leader who cannot be swayed by the political interest of some political godfathers.

My assertion is not far fetched. At a time, Osibanjo supported the call for restructuring. Now, his stand on the matter has changed in order to please some people.

Fearlessness is needed when some decisive and critical decisions are to be made for our nation to move forward. Constitutional review, RUGA establishment, devolution of power, restructuring amongst others readily come to mind. Will Osibanjo be courageous enough to take a firm stand even when it does not suit the interest of his political godfather?

I don't really have good information about Peter Obi. One thing I know is that Obi does not have any godfather. Same applies to Rotimi Amaechi. Anyway, I stand to be corrected.

A better candidate will be the one that will not make himself a political puppet to his godfather while being conversant with how governance and economy are run in our present dispensation.

Tribalism is a big problem of Nigeria. Imagine still supporting a VP of the worst government in the history of this country against someone that liberated and transformed a state to its current glory today. A state formerly known for lawlessness, backwardness and godfatherism to a frontline state in every aspect today.
The same VP has kept mute, subdued and just following as a zombie in the face of all the negative happenings in the country even to the point of denying that these situations exist. A member of the economic team and others yet Nigeria is experiencing a Nuclear Failure of a government.
Please, it's high time we choose the right people for the job and leave tribalism and sentiments aside for the sake of this country.

1) Take it or leave it Anambra State is the most difficult State to Survive as a Governor in Nigeria due to high number of multi Billionaires of Godfathers and Obi came and concurred them all. Osibanjo doesn't have the ball to stand against any influential man talk more of a godfather.

2) As economist Obi is prudent in spending he understands the action and reaction of every kobo spent , while Osibanjo doesn't know the meaning of inflation, that's why a Man at his level will be sharing Billions of Naira to individual in the name of Tradermoni, in a country with the highest unemployed Youths, an amount that could build many industries and creates thousands of job opportunities.

3) Obi is not a power mugger, he doesn't care about being removed or fear of not coming back for 2nd term, he will axe you once you against the will of the people, while Osibanjo values being royal and occupying the colidors of power than stepping on toes of the oppressors.
