Abeg people wey don use local airport car park, what's the fare? And if I stay for more than 1 hr how much is added? I get offline pick up this evening to VI. Already charged 8k for everything. So need to know what's at stake. Thanks. Cc: Felicity0001

I really don't know as I've only pickup at MMA2 once since the pay lot was introduced and i made it clear to Uche and his team I won't pickup again till they add the pay lot fee to ride fares... But someone I think cheerfulgiver posted a screen short 2weeks after my experience of the fee being added to the ride fare (don't trust any of that guy's post thoughgrin), so I haven't been there for some time now. But what I know is you must not stay more than 15min after making payment, as for waiting for very some minutes/hours, that I don't know.

My advice is just drive down to Bensam which is behind Concord or mafoluku or better still drive into Sam Ethnan Barrack, tell the securities you're going for pickup and wait for your rider, the moment you get a call from h/h it will take you less than 3mins to get there if no traffic, drive into the pay lot, pick them up, pay and drive out.

Good luck.

The fee has been added, picked someone at the airport last week and saw the #500 added after the trip, when you slide end trip it pops up alongside the toll gate fee, totalling 700#

Thanks. The trip is actually on offline. So not bothered about Uche grin. I if the 500 Naira is for 1hr I can then go there once it is 6.40. Landing time is 7.20.

Actually, she disrespected you. And you opted for your dignity rather than the money involved. A great lesson for all drivers. It's not always about the money. If drivers don't show some form of dignity to this job, don't expect your rider to respect you. Hopefully next time, she'll be courteous..

Very true,

Well, its a good thing you're already thinking and mapping out plans on what to do with your life after graduation and its also applauding you're already an undergraduate enterprenuer, i must say I fancy your courage, enthusiasm and mentality especially in this country Nigeria where there're limited opportunities.

To be honest it not easy getting a job after school even if you're lucky to have one most of them the pay is nothing to write home about, parents are dying in silent after spending their youthful life and money training their children only for them to graduate without a reasonable job... It very sad. Many graduates and undergraduates because of that have resorted to go into internet scam and other unthinkingable and unimaginable crimes like kidnapping, car hijacking among others. A few that were lucky get laid off may be after a few months due to bad government policies, contract jobs, companies folding up and the likes. This and Many more reasons are why most of us are found doing the uber driving job not that we enjoy it, no! But we have to make ends meet and then hope that things gets better with the state of the country for our children growing up even if not for us again because our own parents didn't suffer all of these we are currently being faced.

Yes of a truth you'll make money driving with uber/bolt but another truth is you'll have to put in several hours of your time driving morning till mid night, 5-6days and most time 7days a week. You'll be expose to both good and toxic humans, many will be ungodly while few will be pleasant, among all of these things you'll try to be calm for the sake of your account getting blocked because you wouldn't want to loose your source of earning. Even with the hundreds of thousands you pay as commission to uber/bolt you're still at their mercy because they have thousands of drivers paying even higher commission than you to them. You'll loose interest trying to apply for jobs because you'll have the thinking, how much can an employer pay you? After all I'm grossing 980k monthly driving. You'll loose weight, you won't have time to hang out with friends and family neither would you want to go on holidays because the surge are tempting so you want to be online at all time. You'll start having sight problem after some time because of flashes of light and your eyes being focus all the time...you'll start feeling your legs shake while walking or sitting down due to long hours driving, some will start having pot belle due to late night eat so constipation is inevitable, many will develope hemorrhoid popularly known as pile, late night eating, indigestion and long hours sitting down to drive can cause this this problem... The unfortunate drivers get robbed, get involve in an accident some their cars taken away and sadly a few once lost their lives to either sickness, accident or to car hijackers, never to be found again unless with God's intervention. Yes something must kill a man but people die in their sleep in their old age so why would a man die while on duty or to diagnosed sickness? Sad!

So my dear friend(s)[newbies] these are most of the truths celebrity driver aka cheerfulgiver and many others with little or no knowledge about the hustle won't tell you, know it now b4 making that decision to join the hustle.

Me i go speak my mind, I stand with and not just by the truth. I will die for it! I've lost a lot for this same truth oh but I've gain more than I've lost.

So like I initially advised "the bolt/uber shop is another man's idea" you are already an entrepreneur so think something bigger so you can stand among CEOs and not among celebrity drivers with unrealistic dashboards.

Personally, I noticed that most riders think that there are entitled to your car (service) simply because they're paying. So they feel that they can make stops whenever, wherever and however (some times without pre-informing the driver) they deem fit. Or that they can carry the entire Oshodi/Gwagwalada as luggage or cargo and expect you to fit it in your car trunk or boot. There are some that feel that it's their right- you must wait for them for 30mins to 1hr. Maybe Bolt need to do rider's orientation too. They need to remember that while the money is theirs, the car belongs to the driver.

And drivers sef, up your game. At least dress properly or with swag and not like houseboy. At times, na we dey cause d disrespect. If you look good, most riders go reason twice before dem yarn nonsense. And for heaven's sake, drivers should stop this habit of begging riders for a 5 star. This is one of the main reason why they disrespect drivers. Always do the right thing and let riders decide. If Bolt block you due to poor rating, be proactive by looking for alternatives. Bolt no b your God. I don't disrespect riders and I see no reason why I should be disrespected because of money and na my car. Peace
