Quitam:
Never compare Jigawa state with Bayelsa state. Jigawa had a standard airport 10 years. Bayelsa can't come close to Jigawa too in terms of other infrastructure. Look for facts before spewing falsehoods
it seems you find it difficult to interprete What @AuntRose is trying to say, try to read and comprehend,

Every state ought to have an airport at least. I hope someday Nigeria gets it, right from the man on the street to the man at the top, we need change our orientation, from the bus driver to the fish seller, to the boss thinking there mini gods. i weep for my country most times. I hope to one day move to civilized community and enjoy real kindness and honesty

Nigerians make building airport look like a big deal I swear

Airport is just 3.5km wide road as runway ...plus German floor to the terminal building as taxi way then a control tower ...then plus a terminal building that should not cost more than 300 million say e too fine 1 billion

A local government that's serious and have the land can easily build and airport

Bayelsa airport should not cost more than 4 billion honestly maximum say 6 billion ...but they spent 65 billion on that thing

Nigeria is broke but we can achieve more with the money we have
Where are you from? Have you considered the
marshy nature of the soil in Bayelsa? Are you also aware that were the airport is situated in Amassoma happens to be a flashpoint for massive flooding annúally.

And given this fact as painted above, that must have entailed the contractor having to do massive sandfilling. That in itself must have shot up the cost.

In South South, you don't just construct road the way you do in the South West and in the north were you only grade the road and asphalt. Down here you do what is called soil exchange. You excavate out the soil and use sharp sand to fill and compact the ground to a certain height before applying the first, second and third layer of asphalt.

[quote author=Glitcher post=104698695]you just come online and drop your opinion as facts. The budget for the terminal of the cheapest airport in the US is about 1.2m$. Who does not know the cost of equipment and finishing touches is what makes up majority of expenses. Change your thinking paradigm. Be progressive minded. [/quotle]

You just scored an own goal. 1.2m$ is 600m naira
