Recently myself and my friend drove to a neighboring village to enjoy bush meat and palm wine as it was the best place to get it, this Friend just returned from travel.
..
While we were eating and drinking palmwine, a middle aged guy from the village came to the restaurant, he seems to know my friend. But before long, he asks of my father, and I said, he's fine. I was wondering why a stranger would ask abt my Dad. But just after he seated he said something strange to me.

He said "there's an ancestral deity being worshipped in your extended family, you can ask from your Dad or call him now if you doubt me". He said it's been seven years since they last invoked its ritual worship. That they should go and do the ritual for my sake. That within months I will be blessed through it if it's done.
I was shocked and I couldn't make any statement, the reason I was shocked was because I immediately remember a prophet had recently told me something similar abt ancestral deity in my family...But since I hardly believe those shit..I dint regard it as anything worthwhile when the prophet told me, so I also dint put the details of the prophecy in my memory, I discarded as at then, and dint even ask my parents...Lol.

My Dad is a Christian who din't take us to the village when I was growing up. I have never done anything ritual or herbalist in my life sef.
I never heard 'family deity stuff' from my Dad or my Uncles cos they are all Christians...
.
So after this stranger told me this again, I asked My Dad and he said it's true, that there is a deity, blabla... something like that Sha
....
I was wondering how a guy, who neither knew me nor my Dad or my family, knew abt it.... My friend later told me the stranger is from the family of an herbalist.....Note: one prophet had earlier told me which I discarded and couldn't even remember what he told me to do, cos my religious bent is sort of sceptic or deist..

After asking my Dad and his confirmation, my Dad dint subscribe to the deity worship. He said even his own father, i.e my grandfather, dint follow the deity worship as he converted to Christianity, that it was same Christianity he, my Dad, follows and believe in...Though I'm more of a deist or sceptic
The question is what step should I take....I'm not a believer of those deity stuff...but I don't know if this one can be real with true positive benefit if it is really worshipped on my behalf..
.Or if there could be implications if nothing is done.
Has anyone ever experienced such? Or given message by a stranger?

Some years back also, an elderly man saw me through. He gave me loaded down information like yours. I was shocked. I returned home and it was so. This is the truth. Continue soaking yourself in the blood of Christ.

The truth is this: virtually all families in Nigeria have these issues. And the thing is that when such occurrence happen, Christian families must stand on their ground with the word of God. How did the man see you through? How did he know you? Sir, forget.... this is a spiritual stuff. There are cases of just a single scape goat in the families. The girl might just remain unmarried. And the girl will be in the city or abroad and doesnt know where to address with the word of God. Many things happen. Not until such girl confronts the principalities and reclaim her victory will there be way forward.

You just see some sons have same bad luck like their daddies. Some children die of same sicknesses which arent even genetically related that killed their parents. Many issues.

There are transactions in the spirit. Please, get closer to God. Dont ever return to worship any deity. You should be happy you have a clue now.

1 Go back and ask your papa the name of the idol and the time they always do the idol general anniversary

2 If you know the name finish, start praying against it, make you remove your self and your family from the covenant of that idol or deity,or whatever.
The time they are doing the anniversary of that idol na that time you self go start your own fasting and prayer come join am with vigil.

It will take you some time for you to be seeing the effect of your prayer o,and ready for any attack that will come your way.

Ok... my advice then is that you use this as an opportunity to learn and document your family's past with the worshipping of these deities, why your grandfather abandoned them and why your father also did.

If you choose to go back to those god's to find out what may be waiting for you with them, throughly document your journey and make a production of It so others can see it and learn from your experience/channel.

Those people giving you messages are sent by that deity; seeing you don't take your spiritual life seriously. So, they feel you'll be an easy catch to continue what your predecessors refused to take up and the deity couldn't lure them because they have a stronger faith and believe in God.

Get closer to Christ and drop this your free-sprited personality so you don't get trapped.

At least you can start learning from somewhere that your idea of being freespirited is an illusion. The truth is that if Christ hasn't set you free, you're in bondage to the devil whether you believe it or not.

The reason they met you is because they see you as an loophole to make inroads back into the family because you're not secured. So they're making it much urgent for you to have to choose between Christ or the devil who you would serve today.

It's a very hard one that shattered my whole life philosophy and meaning of existence, plus losing my Dad.....Laslas I had to restart my life by accepting Christ...so I'm now a Christian rediscovering myself in God....e no easy mehn...the spiritual side of life is super real mehn....I was deceived all along by philosophy and agnostic teachings.

Jesus story maybe likened to whatever u want... but the spirit behind his words is the main issue that once u contact that Spirit, u will be able to know CHRIST by urself, and he will reveal himself personally to u
