Have you guys wondered by Bokoharam fighters are surrendering in droves ? Do you really think thousands of people decided at once they want to discard the brainwashing and stop fighting for Islam ? It is my personal opinion that they did this because they realized they could make more money as bandits and kidnapping for ransom. With the hundreds of millions circulating around the banditry business (to borrow from El-Rufai) and kidnapping of school children, why would they continue to struggle in bush for nothing ? They know that achieving the objective of having an Islamic State here is a Sisyphean task- unattainable . Isn't it curious that they're not surrendering with their weapons ? Why do you think this is so ? Because they have need for those weapons. Watch out for an explosion in banditry in the coming months. |

PAtoGCFR2034:You may be right. But my own opinion is that they have reasoned with the government that includes both the military to be integrated into the Nigerian armed forces so that their fight will get a government backing, so my advice to other parts of the country and including most part of the north is to be vigilant because I see this people being armed as soldiers and other arms of security forces. What you have to understand is that most of these people are not Nigerians, so how can you reintegrate who is not a Nigerian into Nigeria, that is to tell you that the government have an ulterior motives. |
