Of recent we have been hearing news of Boko Haram fighters surrendering with their wives and children. Many have wondered about what must be happening.

There was coverage of some Boko Haram terrorists that surrendered in Cameroon this week by the BBC. And they exposed what is happening with this Boko Haram surrendering business.

They said with the death of the previous Boko Haram leader, the new leadership of Boko Haram are rejigging their men and letting off old and tired fighters that they no longer want.

That is why the released fighters come out without their weapons and claim to have surrendered.

They did not surrender, they were discharged from service by Boko Haram and the armed forces are simply deceiving the country by allowing the narrative that these terrorists surrendered.

The question is if they surrendered, where are their weapons? Did they submit their weapons to their Boko Haram bosses before surrendering?
If that is the case, does that not mean that they have the permission of their Boko Haram bosses to surrender? Terrorist surrender with the permission of their bosses is just a ploy to have Nigeria pay for the settlement of disengaged terrorists.

The Nigerian government is just playing politics with the lives of it citizens. It is a well known fact that these terrorists are not merely surrendering out of the goodness of their hearts, but are pretending to surrender because they've been paid by some political actors to make the current administration look good in preparation for 2023 .
